This will be very quick. Need to play defense to compete with good teams. Unfortunately the Illini have much room for improvement in the defense department.

I took stabs at the lineups but please reach out if you have different predictions. As someone who doesn't follow pro football, I'm especially psyched about this noon Sunday match!

I'll be there. I think I've seen an IL fan give tips on attending this venue, I hope those get posted again!

I'll be there. I think I've seen an IL fan give tips on attending this venue, I hope those get posted again! I just now posted some links to the OP that contain information about attending volleyball matches at Huff Hall. Check out the parking map, seating chart, and website that has a volleyball fan guide. A few important highlights: 1. Masks covering both mouth and nose are required indoors- this is enforced by University staff during the match. 2. Doors and Will Call both open one hour before the match. Will call is located on the west side of Huff. There are entrance doors on both the east and west side of the building. 3. There are some general admission seats that have an obstructed view. There are some large support columns on both the east and west sides that block the view from some GA seats and on the west side there is seating for press and broadcast equipment which block the view from some GA seats above. Best bet would be to get there as close to one hour ahead of the match to find your preferred GA seat. 4. There is usually an entire section of fans from the visiting team in the reserved Section 106 in the southeast corner of Huff- this is behind Wisconsin's bench. I don't know who gets those tickets (I assume it's a group purchase from the visiting school) but it might be worthwhile for you to ask someone sitting over there what the scoop is- maybe there's an outside chance any Wisconsin fan could sit there? Better yet, those tickets may be available to opposing fans for purchase at Will Call. I don't know. That said, there are a lot of University staff that monitor the reserved seating sections (most of the lower bowl is reserved seats) before and during the game and they aren't shy about checking that you're in the right seats. In fact last weekend one of them kinda preemptively confronted me to make sure I wasn't a "GA squatter" heading for someone else's reserved seat. Just an FYI. 5. There aren't a lot of restrooms in Huff and they don't have many stalls. I'd recommend hitting the facilities right before the match starts so you don't risk missing any points after an intermission bathroom break. Safe travels down to Champaign and we'll see you Sunday!

Sibling battle! Caroline Barnes, Freshman DS for the Illini, is the younger sister of Wisconsin libero Lauren Barnes!

I was at a WI IL match a few years ago. I was able to get a reserved seat on-line at the IL web site as there were a few single seats available. I called the IL ticket office back then and they said the WI section was for Comp seating only. They do not sell tickets for that section. And yes, if you get a single seat in the middle of a bunch of local fans, they will ask the ushers to check your ticket.

Sibling battle! Caroline Barnes, Freshman DS for the Illini, is the younger sister of Wisconsin libero Lauren Barnes! I hope the rotations work out such that Caroline's on the court for Lauren's serve! Would be cool to have them both serving at each other but Caroline hasn't served this season- Jessica Nunge stays on to serve and then Caroline subs in once the opponent sides out.

Illini just beat Purdue. Maryland beats Wisconsin and takes Penn State to 5. Predicting who is going to win in the B1G this year is a fools errand.
