The seriesMinnesota leads the series, 52-33. Wisconsin won the last three meetings, the one match in the spring of 2021, and both matches in the 2019 season. Did you know...?Wisconsin is known as the Badger State because the lead miners who first came to the area in the 1820s didn’t have housing, so they had to over-winter “like badgers,” by digging homes into the sides of hills. Minnesota got its nickname of the Gopher State in 1857, when a political cartoon portrayed the legislature as being commandeered by shady railroad barons, which it depicted as striped gophers.

Should be a good one! I’ve got the Badgers in four. They will be hungry and I simply don’t think Minnesota has the tools to quiet Rettke AND Robinson. But I hope I’m wrong!

Minny has no middle presence to speak of while Wisconsin will have any combination of Rettke/Smrek/Robinson. Samedy can get her 30 kills, see how well that turned out for Wisconsin vs Minny when Rettke tried that. Hugh is averse to tough serving (Just keep the damn ball in already) so Wis has a great chance of being in system most of the night.

Minnesota’s middle presence is definitely improved this year, even without Pittman IMO. But yes Wisconsin will probably be in system most of the time.

Does Robinson stay in the middle even if Smrek is healthy? What is the best lineup option?

Does Robinson stay in the middle even if Smrek is healthy? What is the best lineup option? A time machine to go back and keep Hart from tearing her ACL.

The middles have done a great job blocking. I mean f, Husemann ranks at the top of the boards nationally in bps so far this fall.

If we were playing in MN I would say Gophers have a greater chance of winning, however at WI, with WI feeling the need to prove themselves again, I have a feeling this could be 3-1 (albeit close) win for the Badgers. But Gophers have a strong chance if they can stay in system and get middles going early and consistently throughout the match. Our defense is 💪 so I'm anticipating a great match!

Samedy could go off and Wisconsin still win if they are in system and generally contain Wenaas/Landfair.

I have a feeling this one could be a banger. Wisconsin is not where they were at the beginning of the season and are still figuring it out without Hart. Minnesota is at a much better place than they were earlier in the season (imo) and they always have Samedy. Imma pick Wisconsin in 5.

Couple of corrections to the OP:
1. That is not Rutgers’ roster 2. Rubright is not a likely starter; Myers at MB1 and Husemann at MB2 has been what we start with so far this season. Rubright comes in if one of the aforementioned is struggling.
