Good on IL for regrouping and not freaking out at the big Purdue run.

As good as Cleveland is in system she’s quite poor OOS That was two big mistakes by the lake there by Cleveland The Illini hold on (unlike set one) and take set 3

So, do we think this (and the last Purdue Illinois match) says more about Illinois being good or Purdue being overrated?
Personally I think Illinois is just better than people though… I still think Purdue is a top 10ish team. But I think Illinois should probably be top 15…

Purdue is very lucky they didn’t get swept 3-0. . . We’ll see how much longer Illinois can continue to execute. . .. 🏐

I would not be surprised if Terry ends up at opposite next year after Cooney leaves.

InaccurateAfter just 17 attempts, ok. I think she's proven enough over the years that she'll be ok and make progress back to her average Koch was subbed out after only hitting 3/7 (.429), Chinn had 4 hitting opportunities before Koch was quickly put back in. Newton is hitting .074 after 27 attempts, and considering her poor passing today (that’s been killing Purdue) solely rotating the other outsides but continuing to keep her in, is a choice. I can remember a few errors from Newton out of the back-row. I think her front row attacking has been fine, which is significantly important when making that comparison. I haven't been watching closely enough to see if the Chinn/Koch duo or Newton has had the tougher block match-up. Purdue has the resources to track those numbers that tell a lot more information than the simple box score, I imagine they're using them enough to be comfortable with their choice.

Outside the Top 4 teams it seems like there's a whole bunch of teams that are at varying times "top 10ish" and then other times not.

Well, look at that. Cleveland playing all the way around with Schermerhorn coming in for Newton.
