I’m sure Dave Shondell will agree his team did not play like a Final 4 team against Illinois, but Illinois will cripple a lot of teams with their incredible serving game. I believe the Boilers will run the table at home and win the majority of their road matches in the Big 10. The Big 10 can be won this year with 3-4 losses with the parody of the league. With Wisconsin losing a prime time starting middle for the season, the Big 10 race is wide open and Purdue will be one of a handful of the teams fighting for the championship.

You make the best threads. Thanks for taking the time to make it better and better. I wish I had your skills. I like how you take the time to match the letters colors to the school’s colors. Old Gold and Black is hard to match sometimes. Thank you so much! And you're welcome- I have fun making them. I recently discovered that the Windows Paint 3D program's "eyedropper" tool will tell you the exact color of anything you click on. It gives you the same 6 digit code for a color which can be entered into the VT text color wheel. The text colors in the OP were pulled by clicking on each team's logo- quicker and more reliable than trying to eyeball them! And I was recently taught how to align tables in the center of the post, which is a gamechanger (shoutout to ilikecorn on the assist). You make it sound so easy lol. I am really computer challenged. I will just enjoy your game threads .

Regrettably, I was not allowed to create and submit graphic designs in college using MS Paint.

No question Illinois is a Top 25 team after splitting with #6 Purdue and losing a tough 3-1 match to #5 Wisconsin. You have to wonder why Illinois doesn’t air condition Huff Hall? It can be a real sweat box in August, September and early October. Yeah, but what other gym gives you both good volleyball and a sauna simultaneously? Re: the lack of a/c in Huff Gym. It seemed that Boiler MB Taylor Trammel (who by the way seemed nearly impossible for Illinois to stop) was constantly fanning her face with her hand. Not only was her offense clearly on fire but so was she. The building that surrounds Huff is pleasantly air-conditioned, but not the Gym. There are the big ceiling fans in the gym which keep the air circulating and depending on where your seat is, provide some nice breezes during the match. The fact that the decision was made not to air-condition the gym must have been made with the idea that Huff Gym would not be used much longer for volleyball, men's and women's gymnastic, and men's wrestling. The decision was made just this year for men's wrestling to move to the State Farm Center (seating capacity of 16,618) where men's and women's basketball games are held. The SFC provides a great home court advantage for men's basketball when it is full. Not so much for other sports that Huff's 4,000+ seats provides. The UI athletic department is going to construct a raised platform in the center of the SFC for the wrestling matches to take place. I do not know if there will be extra seating around the raised platform for the fans to sit close to the wrestling action. When famed women's basketball coach Teresa Grentz was coaching Illinois, she liked the competitive advantage that Huff Gym provided. In fact, even though her teams regularly played in the SFC, I remember attending one of the Illinois women's basketball games at Huff vs. Michigan. I wondered at the time if Grentz wished she could play all of the home games at Huff rather than the cavernous SFC. I also wanted to give a shout out to Boiler OH Koch. She was cycled in at OH with Cleveland and Newton. Koch won some important points for Purdue.

Her number wasn’t ever called. Ellis and Chinn were split on playing time. I hope that we see more of her. She played well and reminded Boiler Nation of what she’s capable of and will be ready to play at any time.
