Gotta give Shondell and company credited for two great moves: 1. Putting Koch back in the game and letting her work through the defensive stuff. 2. Switching Newton to 3.5 rotations and letting Cleveland go 6-rotations. Schermerhorn mostly cleaned up the passing and she plays better middle back defense than right back. Cleveland got hot when it mattered. and also smart on using the middle. |

Let’s talk about the decision to leave Cleveland in and sub Newton out for Schermerhorn. Excellent in game adjustment. I didn't think of that, but that's why they pay him the B1G bucks. |

Though Illinois was getting a lot of touches on Trammel's attacks, just couldn't control the digs. |

I hope that Jael isn’t gone for more than this weeks matches. She has so much energy and has been performing so well this season. |

Good W, Purdue, especially with Jael Johnson out. The returned favor does sting. I'm relieved we won't have to go through another one of these matchups this season. Good luck the rest of conference play.
