I feel like Purdue is going to come in here with something to prove.

*Preemptive PSA: This is the late match on BTN Wednesday night. If the early game (Iowa v. Wisconsin) runs long, past 8PM Central, Illinois v. Purdue should be available on the Fox Sports App until the early game concludes. The "BTN" link in the OP connects to the Fox Sports website, where I think the app can be accessed.

*Preemptive PSA: This is the late match on BTN Wednesday night and the early game (Penn State v. Nebraska) has the makings of at least a four-setter. If that game runs long past 8PM Central, Illinois v. Purdue should be available on the Fox Sports App until the early game concludes. The "BTN" link in the OP connects to the Fox Sports website, where I think the app can be accessed. That match is Friday. The precursor to this one is actually Wisconsin-Iowa, which should be done in five to ten minutes.

I may head to Rockford to buy beer on Wednesday and hope to make it back in time to watch the Badgers. If I do go, Illinois fans should support my trip, because tolls and tax revenue.

Just looking for an Oktoberfest haul from Illnois distribution at the Binnys that opened there last October, but if they had any Pig Minds from Machesney Park or Lil Beaver from Bloomington, as before, I would be happy to try other styles from them.

Hmm. Just made me think of a good topic, best craft beers of the Big Ten

Hmm. Just made me think of a good topic, best craft beers of the Big Ten Yeah, that would be interesting. Upland in Bloomington is good. A lot of options in Madison and Minneapolis. I have heard good things about Big Grove, which has a tap room in Iowa City. Blind Pig in Champaign. A Florida bartender I talked with before the pandemic used a $20 each way fare to drink well in Columbus. Ann Arbor has to have good breweries, even though western Michigan is the heartland. The brewery I had beer from in Lincoln closed, sadly. In Madison, I would say Young Blood and Working Draft are the best more full line breweries, and Giant Jones and Funk Factory are must hit if you like the kinds of beers in which they specialize (strong and organic and sours, respectively).

Very happy that this will be televised Wednesday night. I’m thinking that this will be another 5 setter. Purdue will have something to prove, but Illinois had Purdues number and I am sure that they will know our tendencies still.

Always a competitive and entertaining match between these two. Oddly, Illinois continues to not get the respect it deserves from both the AVCA and VT voters despite beating then #4 Purdue and playing much better in their loss against then #5 Wisconsin than Minnesota did in their recent loss.
