I am shocked that Illinois didn’t even make it in at #25. They will be extra motivated to beat Purdue again then. I am thinking that this will be a for sure 5 setter then and a toss up as to who will win.

I may head to Rockford to buy beer on Wednesday and hope to make it back in time to watch the Badgers. If I do go, Illinois fans should support my trip, because tolls and tax revenue. Please provide tolls in Illinois and Illinois mileage with your request.

As excited as I am for the Badger game this Wednesday, I’m even more excited for this matchup. Marquee matchup of the week, IMO. Both teams are gonna want blood.

Hmm. Just made me think of a good topic, best craft beers of the Big Ten Yeah, that would be interesting. Upland in Bloomington is good. A lot of options in Madison and Minneapolis. I have heard good things about Big Grove, which has a tap room in Iowa City. Blind Pig in Champaign. A Florida bartender I talked with before the pandemic used a $20 each way fare to drink well in Columbus. Ann Arbor has to have good breweries, even though western Michigan is the heartland. The brewery I had beer from in Lincoln closed, sadly. In Madison, I would say Young Blood and Working Draft are the best more full line breweries, and Giant Jones and Funk Factory are must hit if you like the kinds of beers in which they specialize (strong and organic and sours, respectively). Back when I attended ILL, we drank Red , White & Blue. It was 3.99 a case for bottles which we returned for credit.

Wow... Purdue has only won once in the last six matches against Illinois?! 😟 Illinois has been giving Purdue problems for a bit. It was pretty even before that though. It’s nice to have a little rivalry with a school that’s not too far. I remember going to Illinois to watch the Sweet 16 match between the 2 schools. It is the only Purdue Volleyball match that I have attended that wasn’t at Purdue. It’s a really nice arena.

Match previews now added to the OP You make the best threads. Thanks for taking the time to make it better and better. I wish I had your skills. I like how you take the time to match the letters colors to the school’s colors. Old Gold and Black is hard to match sometimes.

I have a feeling Purdue is going to play with a chip on its shoulder. ILL needs to play with an attitude! ILL in 5

That could explain why home court isn't much of an advantage.
