Why? it's an opinion that is obviously not shared by everyone else. sorry that was sarcasm lol I don't know -- any discussion involving Nebraska players is political to me. SHUT IT DOWN!

I'm looking at the PAC now.
Caitie Baird hit .410 and had 31 kills, 11 digs, 5 block assists, and 5 aces in 7 sets (4 vs Utah and 3 vs Colorado)
For frosh Puk Stubbe only played against USC. She missed the UCLA match. She had 15 kills in 4 sets. She hit .275 and had 10 digs (0 blocks)
I wasn't going to list Kami Miner (bc it wasn't her best week IMO) but Stanford hit .307 against Utah (4 sets). Miner had 4 kills and hit .800. At least 2 (IIRC 3) were swings bc Xu set Miner in one rotation. She had 43 assists, an ace, 2 BA, and 6 digs. Against Colorado (3 sets), Stanford hit .345. Miner had 37 assist and 14 digs.
I haven't looked at either of the Oregon schools or at Washington. I'll try to look at them later or maybe someone else can post about their deserving players.

I can't remember Pressley's numbers but she had one heck of a weekend against Kansas (if you wanna do some Big 12).
I'm going to reward AZ State for their win over UCLA. Their kills look pretty spread out so Snyder had a nice night/weekend imo.

For Washington: Lauren Bays -- 19 digs (3.8 dps) against Oregon, 0 reception errors; 18 digs (6.0 dps) against Oregon State, 0 reception errors. 4.6 dps on the weekend Claire Hoffman isn't as impressive as Baird, but worth mentioning -- 33 kills, .294, 19 digs, 2 aces, 7 blocks

Waden got my vote. "Reverse sweeping" Ole Miss in Oxford is a pretty big deal and her numbers for the week as a whole were just ridiculous.

I would also add Tuaniga. (i assume she's eligible for fotw) I was going to add her but IMO Miner played better this week. Tuaniga has a killer serve but USC only hit .194 and .287 while Stanford hit .307 and .345. USC has a lot of good hitters and I think most ppl think that the Mountain schools are harder to play than the Arizonas, so USC's number should be better than Stanford's. Both setters did a good job of spreading the ball around with 3 of USC's player having 13 or 14 kills in the four sets vs Arizona and two players having over 10 kills in the four sets vs ASU. Against Utah, 3 players had 12 or more kills (12, 14, and 17) and 3 players had 12-14 kills in three sets against Colorado. Tuaniga had 2 aces (both vs ASU, which was important for USC's win). But Miner had 1 and went on a long service run vs Utah. Tuaniga had more digs (25 vs 20) but Miner had more block assists (4 vs 0). Plus Miner only played 7 sets vs 9 for Tuaniga so the raw numbers should be higher for Tuaniga (and USC's hitters). I looked for someone to nominate from USC, WSU, UCLA, Cal, and the Arizonas and thought about Tuaniga and Arial.

Sorry I dropped the ball on getting nominations this week. I’ll make sure to put out this thread on Wednesday this week.
