This team has so much talents as individuals and one of the best if not the best D1 player this season. They need to figure out how to be more than the sum of their parts. No kidding, and the coaching staff needs to help them figure that out. |

What an awful set of volleyball by MN.
What is their deal. They have the pieces - maybe not to be a conference champion or FF contending team, but to be pretty good. It's been generally downhill since the Eugene trip - maybe the MD win too, but overall, something's not clicking - though they've found ways to win.

Huh? Michigan almost beat the Gophers at the Pav. After dropping the first two sets. On the one hand, they did go 5 with MN at the Pav. On the other hand, there was no reason for the Gophs not to close it out in 3.
That said, I'm not surprised by this at all after last weekend.
How about just, “they did go to 5 with MN in the Pav.” Since that’s what happened. Why is there another hand? There really doesn’t seem to be a *should* here if Michigan is showing up and playing hard against them. It could have gone either way. |

This team has so much talents as individuals and one of the best if not the best D1 player this season. They need to figure out how to be more than the sum of their parts. Minnesota is a defensively weak team and one that is not particularly scrappy. They serve conservatively and most importantly only have one formidable hitting option which in my opinion really puts a limit on how far they can go in December. That’s why I chalk this season up to a success if they can break into the Sweet 16. That’d make me pretty happy, anything more is gravy. I hope I’m wrong! |

I like the combo of CC/Kilkelly, Samedy’s defense is much improved, and our blocking has been a high point. There’s perhaps a lack of cohesion but again those pieces shouldn’t amount to a defensively weak team. |
