I am once again asking for your lineup prediction support. So the Michigan DS situation is…interesting. For much of the year, Kendall Murray played back row for Jones and Amber Beals played back row for Pertofsky. Brooke Humphrey was the serving sub for the M1. The wheels totally fell off in Lincoln, and things got switched up for the Iowa match. Murray played back row for Pertofsky and Jones played all the way around (and gets hidden in SR). Humphrey still the SS. |

I love how tuned in Kingsley is to the Michigan DS situation, I couldn't have laid that out any better myself other than mentioning Hallgren and Beals switching off for each other on occasion. It's a huge weak spot for Blue. I would expect to see something similar in Columbus, Rosen likes having Jones hitting from the back row and it worked really well against Iowa. He has given up on her passing though, and successfully shielding her in serve receive remains a challenge. I'm driving down to The Bad Place for this match (editors note: this means updated B1G standings will be posted late on Sunday). It will be Alumni Day at Covelli and we will again get to witness an awkward honor of Leisa Rosen, one of their all time greats. Her heart may be Scarlet and Gray, but she bleeds Blue. Lots of other family connections to Columbus and surroundings on the roster as well. Hoping Jones, Johnson and Beals get inspired playing in front of their friends and families and carry the team to an upset. Go Blue! |
