You are correct. TAVA stands for Tita Ahuna Volleyball Academy.... There currently is no TAVA club team. Probably due to things like family and I also believe she's an athletic director at Punahou. Don't really see her assisting Robyn. Robyn should have a lot of connections with her stints with the national team and maybe even former players maybe? But then again, the cost of living in Hawaii is high. Don't know how much (asst) coaches get paid. Thanks for the update. Three of my four older daughters played club ball with the youngest graduating HS in 2010 so it's been a while since I was up on the club scene....I have no idea about the clubs now - there are so many new ones.....

So does this mean Wahine will be allowed to have some fans at the Stan for CP coming up? That would be nice to see. In a word...no. From the latest UH press release: www.hawaii.edu/news/2021/10/08/limited-fan-attendance-allowed/"The first UH athletics events eligible to have a limited number of fans will be UH’s women’s soccer match on October 14 (vs. UC Irvine) at the Waipiʻo Peninsula Soccer Stadium, followed by UH’s home football game against New Mexico State on October 23, at the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex, women’s volleyball at the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center on October 29 (vs. UC Davis) and October 30 (vs. UC Riverside), and Rainbow Wahine soccer’s last regular season match of the season on October 31 (vs. UC San Diego)." But, stay tuned. Things could change. After all, it's all seat of the pants leadership by the State and City & County, after supposedly listening to their chosen 'experts'. If they had powerful studies/analysis to justify their numbers and restrictions, they'd have smartly laid it all out for the public to review. After all, it's their health risk. Not having done that, gives 'leadership' the ability to take it all back tomorrow, or find they can open it up tomorrow, and who can say they were right or wrong. Welcome to Month 19, Day 586 of State emergency powers over life in Hawaii.
meanwhile... Louisiana State University is lifting Covid entrance requirements for football games in Tiger Stadium. Neither proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test will be required to attend the next home game against Florida on Oct. 16.
Citing a reduction in the number of infections in Baton Rouge and statewide, the school said it will do away with game-day testing, fast pass pre-verification and all other entrance-related covid procedures.
Well that blows! Been watching college football all weekend and if my eyes 👀 don’t deceive me, a lot of stadiums look packed with fans. Hawaii run by liberal democrats with mask and vaccine mandates. Ooops is that political stuff.

Not related but wouldn’t mind some more players from TAV. Lol I’m sure Ahuna’s club is nice though.

If the move is to truly make her an OH then they should simply let her work on hitting, hitting, and hitting from the OH position or OPP position. Someone needs to take reps at the OH position ASAP for Hawaii because next year, BVS is gone and to think we'll have Wagoner as the lone starter back as OH is scary. Saving a 2022 scholarship for a six rotation transfer OH would have been ideal Unless things change there may be room for a transfer OH in the spring.

Whew, I was concerned with this thread showing up sooner, because I was pretty sure the Wahine had an island match tonight. I want to watch an island match production match tonight!
