From the press conference, it looks like Jael Johnson is still a question mark for this weekend’s matches. Colvin and Trammell can hold their own, but Jael Johnson will need to be there to fill in either of them are having an off night.

I'm more excited for this match than I am for Wisconsin/Michigan.

How many Buckeye fans are showing up for home matches this autumn?

In the Big 10 opener in West Lafayette, Purdue came from behind to win 3-2 in a thrilling match that could easily have gone to the Buckeyes. It was a match that had it been played in Columbus, likely would have gone the way of Ohio State. This match is a flip of the coin match that will likely again go the distance. Two outstanding teams!

How many Buckeye fans are showing up for home matches this autumn? Thousands Only for Michigan and Notre Dame...the rest look more like 1500 or so a match. They didn't even get that for 4th-ranked Washington. Maybe Purdue will get them over 4000....

If this is anything like the first match it should be a barn burner. Ohio State is still lacking in the signature wins department so let’s see how they fair here.

I am just as nervous about this match as I was for the 2nd Illinois match. Will go 5 sets and toss up on who will win. Ohio State matches up with Purdue so well. Will be watching this on tv. Does anyone know who will be calling this match?

I don't know why Purdue bothers me so much about these 3 JUNIOR Outside HItters. Their best days are ahead??? They are mid way through their Junior Year. It's apparent that none of them believe in themselves to the degree that they should. It isn't working for Purdue to keep the merry go round going. I just imagine what I would feel if I were them. They all appear to be steller people and obviously have perseverance and character and wonderful ability. But how long are you going to hold them at arms length. At some point the advantages of them persevering do not outweigh the relief of giving in and letting another girl go ahead and take the spot. I just don't like it. It feels like mind games. They are all very similar. They are heavy hitters, strong, but not awesome at floor defense and serve receive. Just pick one!
