Expecting a slugfest. Pepperdine looking to bounce back and gain a signature win after loosing to San Diego. BYU looking to go 2-0 in what is probably going to be their hardest weekend of conference play.

BYU trails 15-11 in the 1st set. The serves of Trinity Stanger and Rachel Ahrens have caused some passing issues for BYU so far, 4-0 run with Stanger behind the line. BYU dropped the 1st set to LMU after having a slow start there as well...

Pepperdine takes set 1 25-21. BYU looked better at the end of the set after struggling with the Pepp serves early.

1st set to Pepperdine. Ballard-Nixon hit 0.143, Koerber hit 0.100 and Gneiting hit 0.000 on the BYU side of the net. Livingston is BYU's only efficient hitter right now with 4 kills and 0.800 hitting %. Nice comeback from Ahrens after a rough night against San Diego, hitting 0.417 on the night so far.

Trinity Stanger has been such a solid DS/server for Pepperdine.
