yeah becauses it’s a blatantly untrue statement. If you don’t think 2-15 iowa, Rutgers, and Indiana are nights off idk what to tell you. That doesn’t mean the big ten isn’t a very good and deep conference but it’s just not true to imply that any team can win on any given night. You know I posted that just for you. I got it. Haha

I get what everyone is saying. It's a stretch to think some teams can beat say a Wisconsin powerhouse. As a supporter of a team that was of similar stature that lost game 1 of a season against a team new to the league I won't look past anyone. I think Coach has the same viewpoint. I just don't want to be anyone's historic first win again lol.

There are literally no nights off in the Big Ten. Any team can beat any team any night. Look at Virginia Tech vs Louisville, who blew the Huskers off the court in Lincoln. VT blew 2 set points with service errors and lost 30-28 after a respectable 25-20 loss in the first set. VT has not won a conference match and have only won two games (both against Boston College). Who would expect them to tax the number 2 team in the nation? But they are. The best team does not always win - and that's a good thing. It's what makes sports interesting.

Did anyone see Louisville v. Syracuse? Syracuse (unranked) lost the first two sets by 2 points and played a close third set at Louisville. Syracuse can really play. Not sure how they are unranked. Rankings are deceptive and sometimes there are very good teams that may not be ranked but they are still good. Their team has many skilled international players and some of the plays in that game by both teams were impressive. I wouldn't want to play Syracuse if they are healthy and peaking at the right time for Nationals.

Concerning some of the above discussions on team talent and success differences. NE has a lot of talent. It is a young team and has yet to demonstrate they can play up to their potential every night, what is referred to as meeting the BIG grind. It is important they are sharp tomorrow against IL, and every team. I'm optimistic, but sooner or later would not be surprising to see this talented young NE team under perform.
Also throwing shade toward your rivals and their players is just not classy. Why do that?
GBR!

I can't figure out why they lose after seeing that Louisville game. It was fairly clear after that match DBK was not satisfied with effort or execution of her team. The are a lot of elite players on so many teams. Syracuse’s head coach was the Louisville coach for a long stretch in the late 90’s and up until about 10 years ago and his young staff is respected. 🏐

Careful, the last person who suggested that got strongly rebuked. yeah becauses it’s a blatantly untrue statement. That doesn’t mean the big ten isn’t a very good and deep conference but it’s just not true to imply that any team can win on any given night. You mean like in 2019 when a less talented Indiana team, well, less talented than they are now, beat Kentucky, at Kentucky? It seems someone should have reminded Kentucky of the “on any given night”. The B1G has 13 teams who have enough talent in the line up to beat you if you take the night off. It’s not probable, but I doubt that Kentucky thought it was probable Indiana would beat them in 2019. 🏐
