Just watched the game. Bakersfield was interesting. Their play was like a bull in a China shop. Unorthodox, chaotic, sloppy, wild... but they competed for sure.
One thing I will say abut the BWC this year, each team plays some mean defense, serves tough, and has at least one or two players that can terminate.
Right now, Hawaii has two players in Igiede and Van Sickle that are just on a different level than everyone else in the conference. I'd say when Williams is on, she's up there with Igiede and Van Sickle as well.
It'll be fun to see how this conference develops over the next couple years with all the talented underclassmen.

This game showed a glimpse of Leo hitting from the left. I think Hawaii should look to her to continue hitting from the left side to have a bigger presence out there as Hawaii moves on and into the 2022 season as well. It seems Hawaii has a lot of OPP with Akana, Dimitris, and DeGoode.

It seems Hawaii has a lot of OPP with Akana, Dimitris, and DeGoode. It’s likely between Leoniak and Johnson vying for that spot next season. It’ll come down to who is passing. And if they end up matching her on defense and serve receive, I can see both of them edging out Wagoner if she doesn’t continue solidifying herself offensively. Probably just needs to boost the vert at this point, strength will come no matter what.
