I'm hoping for a real battle of the pins and middles and liberos in this one. Give me a 5-set chaos match!!
Ohio State is going to have to up their service game, though. And their passing.

Hoping Ashburn, Barnes, Boyer and Orzol are on fire. (And I wish Civita could play.... ) It appears Gruensfelder, Gonzales and Podraza are the servers to watch out for from the Buckeyes.

Yup, though I've seen Rader go on runs. She doesn't necessarily ace teams, but gets them OOS. Any word on Civita's health? I've seen her serve doe Rettke, right? I miss watching her in the back row, not that Boyer and Ashburn aren't holding their own in their respective positions.

They have hopes for Civita being back on the floor yet this year, but there is no timetable I'm aware of.

I have not seen or heard anything, except that she appears healthy on the sidelines, but is never dressed as other subs are now, on the bench. Her former injuries must be forming the decision for the UW sports rehab. staff, I guess.

She essentially ran (maybe jogged) out with the rest of the bench to the celebration circle after the Michigan win, looked pretty nimble. That was encouraging to see.

Anna MacDonald has been serving for Rettke, but, yeah, if they had subbed her in to play the rotation Civita had been playing earlier in the season, I am not sure I would have picked that up immediately.

Actually, MacDonald has been serving for Robinson. And that's why when they got close to the limit on subs one set vs Michigan State this weekend, Robinson ended up serving - and got a couple points on her serve! Adding, when everyone was healthy, it was Izzy Ashburn who was the serving specialist for the 'serving middle' (Rettke/Hart/Robinson). Civita was playing three rotations across the back while subbing for Loberg, Ashburn just that one 'half-rotation'. Now Izzy plays the Civita three-across-the-back, and MacDonald the serving sub.
