Not looking to start a fight or whatever - she's a great setter - but does anyone else think Pedraza "catches" the ball for just a beat too long when she's setting a quick to the middle? Not every one, and not on anything else. But watching live tonight, I just thought I saw that a good number of times. And i kept waiting for one to get called, but none was. After one of them, I looked over at the UW bench and Anna Macdonald seemed to be saying the same thing with her hands to whoever. I'll have to watch the video and see if it looks that way there. Anyway, great match by both teams. Like Creed said at the end of "Rocky": ain't gonna be no rematch... don't want one. Not sure. I will say the double called on Hilley was just strange. Didn't look like one at all, and most things get let go in 2021, which is okay as long as it goes both ways. SHe did not get called for a double, they called her in teh net - which she clearly was when she turned after coming down from the block and her elbow hit the bottom. The 2 signaled was her number

Smrek serving? Okay, Smrek serving. UW was completely out of subs. Serving worked out, but I was hoping to see her play all across the back row!

The thing that impresses me most about this Badger team is their stamina. Yesterday, A strong and fired up OSU came out and had a real rock fight with Wisconsin for 3 sets. Their middles in particular, were exceptional. But from where I sat, Bucky was not going to be denied. They kept siding out, even when they looked like they were being really outplayed. And then towards the end of the third, I just saw OSU running out of gas. Their pin play was finished, and the Wisconsin block was demoralizing. Game over.
Bravo to the Buckeyes for bringing it yesterday.

Jen Flynn is a class act. She took a knee during the national anthem with a few of the Buckeye players players. I think she knelt with Grunze and held her hand. Here time-out management left me a bit flummoxed, but her rapport with her players is quite evident.

Refreshing improvement from Carlston and his histrionics and timeout shenanigans (like ginning up a challenge because he ran out of TO).

My husband and I both remarked last night hope Orzol reminds us of a less vertical Gabi from. She plays like an under-sized Brazilian outside who thrives on speed and tooling the block. Absolutely. I am insanely impressed. 👍👍
