PSU just doesn't have enough gas in the tank to close out matches.

That bumpset by Hampton was WAY off the mark, but the match was already over...

PSU got tired and sloppy at the end. Great match though. Wish they could have pulled it off.

Penn State can’t get too disappointed, I don’t think anyone was expecting them to push Wisconsin this hard

Good match, better team won. Wisc at home is tough the question is how will they respond at NU and Purdue. They could wrap up the B10 if they win.

Heck of a match by both teams. The radioactive spider that bit Kubik a couple of weeks ago to help kickstart her elevated play must have traveled on over to Happy Valley an infiltrated the Penn State team. Now with Pritchard back, Penn State is going to be even more dangerous. Great match from Hord. Her athleticism is absolutely INSANE.
Wisconsin definitely struggled in the beginning of the match, and they weren't making their usual plays at the beginning of the game (credit to Penn State for that though). Block finally came alive towards the end along with some big time performances from Orzol and Rettke. Great weekend for the Badgers beating two solid teams.

Whenever the score is 9-3 in the 5th, my mind goes "Mmhmmm 2008 Nebraska v. Washington, I see." I do too, which makes it a meaningless lead!

Hampton had no business digging some of Orzol's stingers; very impressed with her defense Robinson with 20 blocks for the weekend. She is going to be an absolute terror as long as her and her setter ( hilley/ mhamill)get their timing down

Whenever the score is 9-3 in the 5th, my mind goes "Mmhmmm 2008 Nebraska v. Washington, I see." I do too, which makes it a meaningless lead! In MI state semifinals a few years ago, Alisha Glass' alma mater played a team in four incredibly close sets and then blanked them 15-0 in the fifth. It was so weird because almost every point was competitive, and you just don't expect two teams who have gotten to a fifth to have it end that way. Before I watched the match, I thought it was a typo. Weird anomalies happen.
