Also, while Orzol's topspin jump serve has been effective at times, I know White has the Badger staff all over the data, so that may have led to the change to the jump float this weekend, which had fewer errors but did cause some disruption. Kudos to Orzol on the execution, and I am wondering how they will go in the future with that.

Unfortunately there was a Badger football game yesterday and they actually beat someone. So crickets in the media on this way more important match versus one mediocre team beating another.

The State Journal is very good at covering both the UW women VB and women hockey teams. I haven't seen my paper copy yet, but if there's no story on VB, my guess is it ended too late for "deadline".


(And if you want to rank teams and games, it was #1 vs #2 nationally in women's hockey played in Madison yesterday afternoon. VB wasn't the biggest story, despite what folks here might think. UW beat #2 Ohio State 3-1. Rematch at 3 PM on BTN.)

I usually get to the Field House early, and sit fairly close to the bench, etc. So it didn't take much to notice Izzy interacting with Dana and Dannielle Hart, etal. And the costume was quite detailed and well thought-out.

I enjoyed reading Izzy's back story and it showing more to this players than folks who are just there to entertain us.
