That seems like such a desperate move.

That seems like such a desperate move. What's the point in posting a vapid negative comment?? No response needed

USI recently released results from a general survey on whether the school should transition to Division I: 49% of respondents said no. Retirees and faculty voted no the most: 62% and 60%, respectively. 48% of students were against it. The student athlete vote is split at 45% for and against, and the other 10% choosing "I don't know." That doesn't sound promising.

LOL at the Stony Brook athletic director comparing it to allowing Hartford to continue to play in tournaments before their drop to D3.

Would taking UIC's spot in the Horizon League make sense for them?

Somewhat amusingly, Stony Brook's new conference has also banned a departing member (James Madison) from participating in conference tournaments. I do feel bad for the athletes, but if the conference bylaws say they're banned, then I'm not sure what they can really do about it.

This timeline sets up nicely for the Thundering Herd.
