Purdue played horribly and MSU played to win. Congrats to Coach George. Her team earned it.

Purdue plays well against ranked teams: but Shondell doesn't have them ready when the opponent seems like it should be easier!! This loss is poor coaching I would only blame the coaching if he started the match with crazy lineup changes or “resting” starters…. Otherwise players gotta play.

My family members in MSU athletics troll me with Spartans stuff, so I guess I gotta wear my green hat tonight

Purdue plays well against ranked teams: but Shondell doesn't have them ready when the opponent seems like it should be easier!! This loss is poor coaching imo that statement is WAY off base. MSU outperformed and Purdue had trouble keeping pace. Sometimes your opponent hits over .300 because they were constantly going for it. Case in point: At the MN Indiana game on Sunday MN was forced into calling t.o. trailing 10-14 in the third set. IN had 13 kills in the 14 points. It wasn't because MN stopped blocking. The MSU setter Bishop made some unbelievable dishes. Franklin & Max-Brown outperformed their baselines by a lot .176 vs. .324 tonite for Max Brown .236 vs. .379 for Franklin It all came together for MSU. Give credit where it's due instead of whining about the coach

“You cost me the game” I mean, you’re in a fifth set with MSU before any of this.
Is there an award for "Biggest Douchebag Coach's Comment to a Ref in the Fifth Set When It's 8-8"?
If not, I humbly ask someone to create one.
And you can leave off the latter part. Only has to be "Biggest Douchebag Coach's Comment to a Ref".
Seems fitting.

How much does this outcome affect RPI? Meh. Purdue will be fine. They really have to f*ck things up to not get seeded. Their non-conference is spectacular. They only played one team below .500. Scheduling teams like these was a really smart move - and they only lost one of them! (to the undefeated team) Louisville (18-0) Tennessee (15-3) Jacksonville State (17-4) Loyola Marymount (14-4) UNLV (13-5) Kansas (11-8)

How much does this outcome affect RPI? Michigan State up 39 to 65. Purdue down 3 to 10.

The last count I saw was 15 service errors for Michigan State but they really put the pressure on Purdue with their serves. Sarah Franklin. Wow. Enjoy watching her play.
At 17-16 in the 4th set, Cathy George challenged a touch call at the net by Michigan State. The ball was at least 3 inches over the blocker's hands yet the R2 did not overturn the call. Those are really frustrating to watch.
Congrats to the Spartans. They played well.

I was at the game and do not know when this occurred. Was it when MSU won the challenge?

Sarah Franklin is such a special player. I hope she develops into the B1G 1st Teamer that she's capable of becoming.

Key metrics in vb stats is your hitting percentage versus opponents and you find that good teams: consistent teams maintain there offensive and defensive percentages versus all opponents and being out preformed by last place team not a good look!! Purdue now is 4-3 over last 7? Are all thise teams having there best nights against purdue! Just bad luck?

Stats for year conference only: Purdue team hitting percentage .231 and Purdue’s opponents hitting percentage .182: thats only .049 diff: opponents dont need exceptionally great nights to over come purdue!! Wiscy as example hitting percentage- .287 versus .136 diff of .151 : gives you a little better cushion when a team has a big night !
