For what its worth, ESPNU is showing Kentucky at Tennessee (5pm) and then Texas Tech at Kansas St (7pm) on Wednesday. I assume that the BIG Network has first dibs on all matches and likely they would never give a match like this to ESPN. I think that in theory ESPN and Fox can pick from the B1G inventory before the B1G Network gets it, but they are never gonna not pick a football game. So the B1G will always have first dibs on volleyball.

Amusingly, I do buy cheese from a university, but it's not Wisconsin. And I don't buy corn at all. Doesn’t Wazzu sell cheese?

I told Rainbowspouse that Rainbowtoddler must be in bed by 7:45 so I can grab myself a beverage and settle in for the game.

Last night I watched a good portion of the last clash between the Badgers and the Huskers - in the regional final game. Molly Haggerty absolutely lit us up. Thankfully she didn't opt to use that Super Senior opportunity the NCAA provided. Made me really wish she had not decommitted from Nebraska and ended up at one of our biggest rivals. Ironically her older sister Meghan committed to Wisconsin and then opted out and went to Nebraska instead where she helped win a Natty. By the way, Lexi Sun had a good night in that big matchup. She was ripping the ball on every set she got instead of the tentative roll shots we've seen this year. We want that Lexi to show up tonight and the rest of the season.

I may be wrong, but I think Maddie had a lot to do with her de-committing!

Wisconsin wanted to change their state motto to "Come smell our dairy air." But it never passed. : /

Very excited for this game. Curious to see two teams that know each other fairly well, but yet both have a lot of new freshman faces (that play) so it will be interesting to see how that shakes out. Nebraska has looked great since Stivrins came back. I think she is the most important Husker in terms of giving her team confidence. Watched both the regular season 2019 matches to get in the mood. If the Badgers can keep the sweep streak going that would make my month, but I don't think that's going to happen, especially at Devaney. But that would be great. There's nothing that gives me more joy than seeing an agitated John Cook on the sidelines.

My gut tells me Nebraska just might pull this one out. Do I want it to happen, hell no.

Are you talking about the match on December 14th, 2019? Lexi hit .023 with 11 kills. I think this is a lesson in (1) watching an entire match; and, (2) looking at the box score. Lexi did much, much better in the two regular season match-ups hitting 270 and 303 ish respectively. I want THAT Lexi to show up to this match.

If Orzol keeps her composure and doesn't over think and Loberg has a productive evening, then I think we can take this one in four. But I think Nebraska is going to be extremely focused, that is why my gut is telling me nebrask in a close one. We need Robinson to shine as well

I didn't realize Lexi had 10 errors to go along with her 11 kills. That is not good. Nobody hit well that night. Sweet also had 11 kills but hit a team best (minus Nicklin with .200 and only 1 kill) .167. Yikes. Stivrins at .000 (3 kills and 3 errors) and Kubik at .033 (7 kills and 6 errors). No wonder the Huskers got smoked.
