Wow, was not expecting a sweep. Sets 1 & 3 looked close and could have gone either way possibly. Still think the Huskers are NC material. This game should be a good learning tool moving forward. Congrats Wisco, better luck next time Huskers.

Really a great match. The defense on both teams was spectacular, with exceptional blocking and insane digs that led to ridiculously long rallies. Kudos to both teams.
Having said that, I don't think it's automatic that both teams will be in the Final Four. And I don't think that it will take a Texas to beat them. I think they are both vulnerable to teams built entirely differently than them (i.e., not bigger and more powerful, but smaller, quicker, and more athletic playing a tempo offense). Teams like Louisville, Pitt, and Kentucky. But don't take my word for it. Take Maryland's.

Congrats to Wiscy...a great performance.
The Women of Corn started the match with a service error and ended the match with a hitting error. Kind of sums up the night. It felt to me that Cheese was in control of the match about 90% of the time (the middle part of the first and third sets being the exception).
Cheese is clearly the class of the B1G at this point. Nebraska has potential but needs to play at a much higher level if they want to keep playing in December.

I've said it before--it may have been an entertaining match with great defense, but I don't think either team will be pleased overall when watching this. Many uncharacteristic mistakes on both sides. Both teams will need to be better. Both teams have been better.

Yes...and they were then beaten by Maryland later this season. The point I was making isn't that all such teams can/will beat them, it's that they have a particular vulnerability that can be exploited by teams with quicker players in a tempo offense.

Stivrins hit three balls into the net that set. All on free balls (the last touch on Loberg essentially made it a free ball). She’s so much better than that, but this is what this matchup brings. Uncharacteristic play from Nebraska at key points in the match. Wisconsin was obviously better tonight, but really just at the easy plays. Nebraska was pretty bad at them. Well said. Good description.

Yes, Maryland's quick tempo forced Wisconsin in 17 (!) service errors. Wisconsin had a bad night. Maryland played really well. Congrats to them. But if one plans to use that as a model on how to beat Wisconsin.... good luck with that.

Also the fact that Wisconsin had to adjust days before when their second starting middle went down with an injury. A middle who had All-America type numbers up to that point. Plus Maryland's gym is so small it's like the crowd is playing with you on the court lol.

Nope, The actual / original Polish Hammer is Ivan Putski! meh. I like Stysiak more I like her first name but since I don't watch international v-ball I have never heard of her. I'll take your word for it though but only know of one polish v-ball player.
