she’s like that every game. People just made their own stories.. She is, and I applaud her for that maturity. This is no shade on her, and is a blanket statement on any athlete in her position: if I were making the kind of mailbox money she is, I’d be rooting on my team with a big smile as well. What do you mean? How much is she making lol

I would take issue with the characterization of this as a 'great match'. It was more like a struggle and WI struggled less with SMREattacK It was a good B1G battle with stellar defense and not very many uncontested attacks. WI's floor defense seemed to be the difference although the digging stats were fairly even. NEB found a way to neutralize Orzol, something almost no one else has done. They also dented Rettke's stats. But you have to hand it to WI's sideout %. NE could never seem to get a run.
Sunday's Pitt Louisville battle was a great match with both teams hitting above their weight (but Pitt's 1st set 700+ was just nuts and skewed their overall 300+) for the day.
I thought MSU's win over Purdue a week ago was a great match with the underdog really stepping up. The WI PSU match was really good. PSU had an astounding weekend. It will be a month before they meet NEB OSU & MN and they could really be humming on all cylinders if they can consolidate their recent quantum leap.

Putski was good...but he was no match for Baron Von Raschke and THE CLAW.To return this to a Nebraska-Wisconsin theme, The Baron - then known as Jim Raschke - was a Nebraska state champion wrestler in high school in 1958 and a Big Eight Champion for the Huskers in 1962 (heavyweight). I remember Putski starting out in the local Texas wrestling federations about the time I started watching wrestling as a kid. I think he lived in Austin or at least was living there when his kid Scott was playing football in high school and college (he went to TCU). His son wrestled for a few years, but didn't have the career that his dad did. Putski was actually Polish (wasn't a ethnic pretender like many wrestlers), but his actual last name was Bednarski.

Nebraska pins hit .096 Wisconsin pins (sans Smrek) hit .090 This makes no sense. You can't skip over the pin who hit over .600. I purposely skipped over her in order to point out that she was the difference maker in the match.

I am no Nebraska fan, but i respect well-coached teams and good players who sre not cocky. That being said, I am a big fan of Krause and Rodriguez. They seem to speak softly but carry big sticks. Those 2 and Orzol are my favorites for BT FOY. I also like Lohnstein and wish she was a Badger. I was getting a little frustrated with Loberg and Orzol tipping, but they were forcing Hames to dig balls and also playing low-error vball, forcing the Huskers into making errors. I still don't think Stivrins is 100%, but it helps to have ger open up their outside hitters. Batenhorst seems to be a bit over-ranked, but again, she has upside. Smrek, could really be a beast for the Badgers and we may see Wisconsin utilizing her, Hart and Robinson in dynamic ways next year. What a trifectAof MBS/RS.

Watching the match last night live felt like Nebraska was completely out of control. But then when you look at the box score, this match was literally decided by 4 kills, 1 block, and 1 ace - a six point switch. I think the only thing I'm truly disappointed about was that it ended in a sweep. Had Nebraska taken at least one set, I'd probably feel a little differently than what I do now about this match. I was stunned during the match, so many stats were close or identical through most of the match. with the exception of hitting efficiency and the final score. Amazing game stat lines.

Not able to watch right now, is the block just not getting set on Smrek or why is she terminating so efficiently so far???! she’s just having one of those days where a player pops off And maybe being 6’9”
