Stanford has no depth yikes Earlier this year in the Nebraska match Don Shaw called it. He said Hambly will have to get along this year with no depth until help comes next year.

Have no idea why Berty was even in. She absolutely was no treat at all in the front.

Do we know if the injuries are due to illness or is it conditioning related? I’ve never seen a Stanford team with this many injuries all at once. Might need to revisit our strength and conditioning program if it’s related to that.

Smith is to being able to play and whether any of the middles can play pin. Oglivie is the best passer and we don't really have anyone else to play libero

Who would fill in at libero? I mean, at this point does it matter? Berty should not be on the court full time. I would’ve tried Beaven at Libero. Oglivie at OH2, Baird OH1, Francis Opp with Berty backrow for her. I agree with this. Oglivie needs to be playing full time on court.

Arizona also did not have a potent slide attack and Oglivie’s blocking would have been okay.

I will give it to Arizona. They played better tonight than the first time around with us. Way to stay focused while all the chaos was happening on our side of the net. Good win for AZ.

Berty is not the answer to the left side. I would not mind seeing Oglivie playing on the outside. It's not like the passing is the best when everyone is healthy anyway.

I'm finally ready to start blaming this on the coaching. I'm sure playing for Hambly is a lot less stressful than most programs. But, he just isn't building champions.

I guess Hambly could have tried it but I can see why he didn't since Stanford played better in the third than the second. I think everyone knew going into this season that our bench was thin and we didn't have good back ups in case of injuries. I hope that improves next season.

Right? And it's every season and all season long. I'm not sure if it's terrible luck, poor conditioning, or what.

Team got murdered the first 2 sets. Gotta make a change. Gotta show the other team something they aren’t prepared for. I’d rather see Oglivie swing smartly than weak tips from Berty. Also, why was Francis playing opposite and not OH? Berty would’ve seen less OOS sets if she played opposite.

For example, Arizona was going OTT vs Berty. You had either Tufuga or Xu (on a wimpy ankle) trying to block also. Those are big exploitable holes.
