Would be real sad if Purdue had Wisconsin hangover and let this one slip away. Purdue has hiccups every year and lose some that seemed winnable. Will be listening to Kyle and Val call this one.

A thought: Maryland leads the league in blocking, but Purdue leads the league in not getting blocked. Similarly, Purdue is third (knocking on second) for blocks in the league, and Maryland is second for not getting blocked.
I wonder if this, along with strong floor defense will translate into a lot of soft shots and long rallies.
The game will go to the aggressor.

Purdue takes set 1 (25-15)
Purdue struggled offensively but managed to get to .233 by the end of the set. They had 6 aces though, 4 from Jael Johnson!
