Will be interesting to see who gets the start for UW between Demps and Smrek. Both played this past weekend, in both matches; Smrek at opposite, and Demps as what I want to refer to as "backrow attack specialist". I have no reason to think the lineup will be something other than that. But I'm always interested to see what variation(s) the lineup might have.

Purdue was quick out of the gate and relentless in West Lafayette. I hope the home crowd can reverse that energy in Madison.
I think it's going to be about blocking. Purdue had 16 blocks to Wisconsin's 7 in the first match-up. (UW also had NO service aces)
Go Badgers!

Wisconsin needs to add some focus on defense as well as their super offensive weapons. I was wrong in this match at Purdue. I do not think Purdue can complete a sweep!

Devyn and Julia need to practice against a set male or Dana Rettke block this week.

Sheffield was pretty clear in his presser that the badgers did not play well at Holloway. Gave credit to Purdue for making that the case, but also felt a let down from team. They never got comfortable in the match.

Game Day Eve bump. Looks like most people are voting for a Purdue sweep. Unclear if that's prognostication or wishful thinking.

Whenever Purdue and Wisconsin meet in West Lafayette or Madison, it’s an all out war. Both head coaches are Muncie, Indiana natives and Ball State University graduates. Friday night will be another Donnybrook in Madison. Last time I visited the UW Fieldhouse, RC Cola was the main soft drink of choice at the concession stands. The UW Fieldhouse has been a real treasure since the days Wisconsin basketball and boxing served as their venue. Curious if the boxing championship banners still hang high in the rafters.
