They really couldn't get this one televised??? Basketball has started.  Yes, because Western Michigan vs Michigan State and Indiana State vs Purdue will be much important and entertaining than the #4 team hosting the #9 team. What was that NCAA report? Men's sports are favored over women's sports? Goes for the media, too. 😠|

Honestly, the badgers have to play with a little more cohesion and defensive intensity than they did against NW or Iowa this weekend (yes, I got to watch those matches). Loberg has been playing well of late, but Orzol seems to have slipped into a more predictable pattern in her attacking. The serving seems to have gotten a little less aggressive - they are missing Civita in the service rotation. Mixing in the short and driven serves seemed to help at times, they need to do that more. The badgers have shifted to passing with two more often than not in Civita's absence, and that makes them a little more brittle in SR. Boyer has to hold up. Block coverage has to be better (another place where we miss Civita).
I do like the Demps BR attack option. May take away some of the obvious blocking keys for Purdue. But those roll shots she was able to put down from the BR last weekend are not likely to fall against Purdue. Badger fans have to hope her resurgence continues tonight. And Robinson had herself a weekend. Hopefully that builds her confidence at middle.

Reminder to people going to the match, there is a men's basketball game down the road at the Kohl Center, so parking might be a little more tricky on some of the side streets heading that direction. Also the bars and restaurants may be more crowded.

I question any college sporting result when the game starts at 11am central time on Halloween Sunday. It felt a lot like the 8am match at power league….
