I'd think to be savvy enough to realize it hurts the Huskers' ability to recruit. I don't think it does. Perception comes from proximity. It's easy for fans that have no skin in the game to make generalizations based on a specific moment or anecdote, but recruits/players build relationships with coaches and players, they visit the campus and town, talk to school administrators, other students, fans, etc. That's where they develop their perspective and decide if the environment feels comfortable to them. And let's not forget that we are talking about a few fans in a crowd of 8,100+.

can you give us the readers digest version of "why" they are kneeling? i would like to see an article asking those that are kneeling why they are kneeling. that would give them a better platform to address their grievances. and why is people protesting against protestors wrong? i don't think one should be derogative to protestors--but the majority of protesting the last few years has led to rioting. if you say it hasn't, there is a lot of film footage out there to prove you wrong. you just have to acknowledge that it is happening. if you can "peacefully" protest, have at it, do it respectfully. if you want to protest the protests, do it respectfully. unfortunately, this society has turned to violence way to many times. i do not know what was said to the maryland players, i only have to see how the nebraska players reacted to know it was not good. turn off fox news and listen to people of color bruh in case you don't know it "bruh" there are a ton of people of color on fox, that base their opinions on facts--

Both the fans and team leadership gave themselves an unnecessary PR black eye over this one. So here's an idea for the haters to hate on. What if B1G implements a policy that all players should keep their politics off the court. These kids are all over 18, so can run for elected office if they want to make a statement.

It’s OK for the players to be political but God forbid the audience(Who is actually paying the bills )be political. That’s just so wrong.

U sir are an idiot. I agree with everyone else just mind your own f@#%ing business. How is someone else kneeling physically affecting you? Or better yet what immediate outcome is it having on your life?? Ohh wait none!! Just because your family is a vet doesn’t mean you are the only person who gets a say about the flag. And better yet, your opinion doesn’t bear any more significance than anyone else’s.. it’s just that, an opinion. Ohhh so you get to express you feelings for the flag and it’s okay but others can’t express their opinion/feelings towards the flag (peacefully) because it’s different than yours? Isnt that what so called America is built on? Freedom of speech, assembly, protest yada yada? Yeah right! Its hipocrisy and bigotry to the core! And here we have a classic case of bullying that’s been happening on in this board for last few years. My God you think like we do or we’re going to humiliate you and call you names. If the racist label doesn’t work will go for even more severe insinuations. You’re bullies. Tantrum throwing bullies.Sounds familiar? • I stated facts. (I.e. America has a bill of rights that includes freedoms to protest and speech and assembly) • I asked u some legitimate questions (I.e. What is the immediate impact of this situation on your life?) • I stated my opinion (you’re an idiot). Which I’m sure is not the first time you are hearing that. How is that bullying???

If our chatterbox member of the crowd would have just stfu minded his own business, this situation would not have made headlines. The fact that you're so triggered because a young lady decided to kneel is pathetic. Sounds like you need a safe space🤷🏿♂️

in case you don't know it "bruh" there are a ton of people of color on fox, that base their opinions on facts-- That’s actually funny. Do you need names and proof that they are black? Are blacks only allowed to be liberal? Isn’t that the definition of racism?

Do you need names and proof that they are black? Isn’t that racism? "I have Black friends so I can't be racist" is among the dumbest protestations of innocence. "Black" is capitalized, by the way.
