Great win and great weekend for Purdue. Stop looking for scapegoats for Minnesota. Purdue flat out played better in every phase of the game. It's a very balanced team, with a terrific back row that just keeps digging all over the court. They're a real contender this year, and not just for the Big Ten title.

I love Dave so much. You can just tell he's a great person. Dave and John Shondell are the dynamic duo. Any chance John might want to become a HC anytime soon? IOWA has an opening.

The BTN show "At The Net" (I think it is) did a segment of the Shondell brothers and that question (generally) came up. Short answer is "no".

what's keeping Purdue from getting that #4 seed? haven't really been keeping up with them until now Being injured and dropping 3 matches. Illinois and Louisville matches were just losses. with them beating Wisco (who everybody considers the 4th seed) in both h2h matches, I think they should be highly considered for that spot. if their losses came while starting players were injured or early in the year I think the committee would look over those.

You could make the same case for UW, who lost a key backrow player in the first set in W Lafayette, and have been retooling their system ever since to address her loss.

Can someone remind me requirements to host a regional? I feel like it used to be play 1 match in the gym you're using. Is that still the case?

Great match for Purdue. I would rank them #4 now. Although Jael Johnson still isn't 100%.
Gophers have stuff to work on. Our coaching staff, except Mr. Houk, seemed unengaged. There, I said it. Now I will run and duck.

Why is it an "excuse" for Wisconsin? Is it an "excuse" for Purdue's losses, or an explanation? And why does it matter whether "she's been in and out"? When she's in, Wisconsin is better than when she's out. And yes, there is a decent chance she will be "in" again. Finally, yes the loss of Hart is still reverberating through the Wisconsin lineup. Wisconsin had their full starting lineup available to them for one weekend this year (and they made Baylor look bad that weekend).

I'm just saying that the badgers have had their share of injuries from the start of the B1G season. Hart was lost just before the Maryland match. Civita was lost the next week before the Minnesota match, but came back for PSU and OSU, only to get hurt again in the Purdue match in an entirely different way. Since then the badgers have tried to incorporate Jade Demps to get a backrow attack to compensate for the poorer passing. It's a work in progress. Today is the first time it actually looked decent. In the end I don't think any of that will matter to any NCAA committee. Purdue has a claim to the seed from the B1G, but I don't think the injury situation will matter, just as I don't think anyone will give the badgers a pass on their injury situation. They have to win the B1G - or at least tie. Purdue are on the hairy edge. If they lose to Nebraska, they are most likely out of the top four.

This isnt about โinjuriesโ per se: its about how a ream is playing at the end of a season: in the last month of your season if teams are tied for conf. Lead and one team has been preforming better than the other than one gets seed: As of today: Purdue has been better than Wisc. In last few weeks: and its mainly because Purdue healthier now and Wiscy a little banged up: but who wins the most these last three weeks decides seed and it may not be conference champ??

Not samedy's finest match but her outside's aren't helping her at all. What the actual??? It was the best she's played this season.
