We’ll, she’s had 5 years-or is it 6? If Madi Robinson had stuck around…… Tayln is leaps and bounds better than Robinson. Hmmm, I’m going to disagree with you on that. At least on the Madi Robinson 2021 version.

Frankly, I feel like she kind of lost two of those years with the knee injury. She didn't have much spring in her jump when she came back as a sophomore. I wasn't even sure she'd ever get back to a level that would give her a chance to play consistently, so she's done well for herself. These matches did not look good, but I have seen better stuff from her, so maybe it's just a bad week. You never know what athletes are dealing with. She seemed to be playing better a week or so ago. But these last two matches have been reminiscent of earlier play. She must have really done some damage to her knee. I mean McKenna Miller bounced back really well from her injury, I would tell TBN in the next practice(s), you are only allowed to hit line, hit high, or tool. Absolutely no angle shots. IMO, tooling is the best shot in volleyball!!!! Man, I’m a good coach from my recliner 🙂. I don't know how the severity of the injuries compare, but I think body type had something to do with the recovery times. Taylen has long, lanky legs that are not as strong as McKenna's. I think that made a difference, but of course, I'm just guessing.

BYU hit .347 in this match, while St. Mary's hit .178. Koerber led the way with 19 kills and 12 digs on .333 hitting. Livingston had 15 kills and hit .368, and Gneiting had 11 kills and three blocks on .643 hitting. Bower had five kills (.400), 48 assists, 15 digs and three blocks. Allen had 14 digs and 8 assists.

She hit .204 in 2019, and I doubt Olmstead even tried to talk her out of transferring. In fact, as I recall, Robinson was the starter at OH2 for most of the season but had lost the job to Ballard-Nixon by the end of the season.

Then why wasn't Robinson killing it when she was in the WCC?

She was horrible in the semi’s but everyone was horrible 😐. I never thought she would break into Utah’s line up. But with Weatherington and Yett hurt, she got a shot and ran with it.

Then why wasn't Robinson killing it when she was in the WCC? That is a GREAT question. Is Beth a better coach? Did she not get along with Heather? Or did something just click this year? I have no idea. But I wish her the best. Except if we play then in the 2nd round.

She's been better at Utah than I thought she'd be, but I don't think it was ever going to happen for her at BYU. Also, she wasn't that great against Texas. She had seven kills and hit .200. That was a pretty tough match, though, as really only RJP (easily the best player on the floor) and Gneiting were better.

She does have a cannon-reminded me of RJP at times.

I think I remember some very timely kills, rather than her %!!
