Kevin is such a sucker when his players call for a challenge. They need to show the line camera angle again.

Francis trying to hit through a wall again -- need to tip in that situation I'm not counting our Francis' future on the left; she might be great there. But at this point in her development, yeah, she makes too many bad decisions and too many bad executions. Then again, the first 2-3 weeks of the season we Stanford fans were all frustrated with Kipp's unforced hitting errors. So Francis might get better too.
Crazy-long rally there; Stanford making the challenge at 24-18 up. Not sure it's worth the risk when you still have many set points. But apparently USC won't stop believin'

USC trying to make a push in this set, but deficit too big likely. Touch or no touch on that one?

Nice rally. Is challenge on in/out or touch? I assume it's for touch since that's what the players were signaling to Hambly. But it doesn't matter bc if you challenge for one thing, they review for all of them.

Sorry, this USC team is bad! Lol yes but what does it say about Stanford that the difference between the two teams is pretty minimal? I think both teams have "flashes of brilliance" as well as flashes of "what... even?" Exactamente!

Sunday-Monday-Wednesday-Friday may not have been the best itinerary.
I get it, they're desperately trying to make the tournament and really had no choice, but still. Is there one player on USC's bench who is thinking "I can take or leave the tournament at this point"? Lol.

Hearing a dude from LA say "I went up north and they play a high level of volleyball there. These teams aren't quite there yet." is so wild to me. The growth of the game in the last 10 years has been so amazing for the sport.

Someone remind me, is Lougeay out for the (post)season? I'm missing her in the back court. Conjecture on this board has been she's day-to-day or week-to-week. So in theory, no. Not dressed out for today, though.

USC struggling to side out. Tuaniga doesn't set as well when the digs aren't to her.

Not dressed out for today, though. I think the announcer a few matches back was repeating a rumor that she was almost ready - and everyone just kept repeating it.

Re: the Rubin vs. Francis at OH debate... it'll be an interesting battle for sure, but I think Francis has more upside. Any freshman not named Plummer is going to struggle in their first year. So do you keep developing Francis and getting her more reps, or do you throw a freshman in there again and see what happens?
IMO, Rubin will shore up a LOT of back row issues for Stanford, but I can't see her beating out Francis. Her front row skillset, to me, does not yet translate to D1, but I hope I'm wrong.

USC is hitting above .300 and Stanford is weak in the blocking category. Credit goes to Tuaniga, but Stanford needs to step it up in the defense department
