Question, if purdue beats nebraska do they get a top 4 seed? They have beaten wiscky twice and are the hottest team in the conference right now. No

Nope. They're eighth in RPI right now. Even if they win and Kentucky loses, they can only rise up to 6th, staring up at Wisky, which has two less losses.
It's just not gonna happen.

LOL Really? Seems my avatar and sig would be dead giveaways. On a day like today, it's perfectly acceptable for you to make a 24 hour change of allegiance in order to support a worthy team 😁 HAHaha! No. But 24 hours from now I will definitely revert to my secondary Boiler support!

For the IU match last night, there was a moment of silence before the match. It was really nice for the Shondell family. The Senior Night videos and send off was amazing to watch. I think that the entire Purdue team will not let up for this match, they want to play hard for these Seniors and the Seniors themselves are leading the team well. Nebraska has won 8 out of 9 times recently. This will not be an easy match. I think it will be a 5 setter. Both teams have so much to play for and don’t want to lose and have a bad draw for the tournament. I cannot wait to get to the game and get myself an Annie Drews Bobblehead . With football having a game today as well, it will be interesting to find a parking spot lol.

I forgot to add that I wanted a Bobblehead of Annie Drews. It’s only offered to the first 1,000 fans. Doors open by 8. I am only thinking worse case scenario that some of the football crowd will just head straight to the volleyball game. I will try to be there by 7:30 since I am *that* fanatical about volleyball lol.

This game has major seeding implications for Nebraska. They win this, they’re likely in the 9-12 range. If they lose they’ll probably be in the 13-16 range. Purdue is likely in the 5-8 regardless the outcome tonight imo.

Oh that makes sense. You actually did mention your bobble head quest, I just didn’t put two and two together.

I mean we know who the top 4 seeds are. Unless NE is content with playing one of those four teams in the sweet 16, it makes a difference to be 9-12 as opposed to 13-16.

They’re not a program happy to make it to regional finals. What’s the difference to them if they have to play Louisville in semi or final? They could get screwed in their seed and get an advantageous draw, or get a good seed and get screwed by draw. I don’t think the range they are in is going to matter much at all. If their goal is to get to a FF they’ll have to beat a good team on their floor to do it, the when doesn’t matter much IMO.

Might as well not seed them at all then and send them to one of their subregionals! First round maybe?

However, given the field and this Nebraska teams season so far I think they should be content with a regional final apperance. They are certainly capable of more but I think a regional final would be a good achievement for them.
