OK, who can explain to me what I saw tonight? I got there in the third set and Hawaii was just doing anything they wanted with Mississippi State. And then in the fourth set Hawaii did not look good at all. And then in the fifth set it started kind of close, but then Hawaii just took over. How many teams was I watching there? Why were the sets so different from each other? Can’t speak for MSU. But Hawaii has been up and down all year. In a three set win by UH, we can still see three different levels of play. But 22 times this year it led to Hawaii wins and we can all be happy for that! |

OK, who can explain to me what I saw tonight? I got there in the third set and Hawaii was just doing anything they wanted with Mississippi State. And then in the fourth set Hawaii did not look good at all. And then in the fifth set it started kind of close, but then Hawaii just took over. How many teams was I watching there? Why were the sets so different from each other? You watched the same 4 Hawaii teams Hawaii fans watched all season. I think Hawaii made some mistakes early in game 4 and didn’t apply as much pressure with their serve as they applied in games 2 and 3. The Bulldogs were in-system for a lot of game 4 and we’re just playing better. |

I’d have way more respect for your earlier sentiment if that was stated at the beginning of the season when times were rough rather than conveniently after a good win. I’m sure the win was exciting for you but maybe you should have let it stew for a little while before blaring out a message like that. That’s all I’m saying. OH2 who really never was relied on last full year, a ds who played in 7 matches before this season, and a revolving oppo. door who had 3/4 players rotating in, all of them with no starter experience. At some point, one of them will be nervous, tired, unfocused, outplayed, and overwhelmed. It comes with a lack of experience. That's why I think a lot of teams are doing well, they have 6 yr seniors who have the experience to be a calming and steadying force to their teammates, nothing fazes them. |

I think it’s also about a program that in 2019 was getting back to where it belongs only to have so many things happen that no one could control. I think it’s also about a program that in 2019 was getting back to where it belongs only to have so many things happen that no one could control. To go one step further, the only player on this year's starting unit that played an entire previous season is Amber Igiede. BVS missed about a month due to injury, and Skylar Williams was in and out. For the Wahine to get even this far, kudos to the coaching staff. Even the coaching staff is not intact, with one new assistant coach. |
