This hasn't been discussed, probably because it didn't effect the outcome, but that sucked at 8-5 in the 5th, Tayli serves an ace. At the very moment it was clear it was an ACE, the refs call a rotation error on MSST. They immediately realize they are wrong (or the MSST coaching staff points out they are wrong) and a play over is called. MSST then gets that next point. Thank God that was not a turning point in the match. I was wondering what was going on during that play. But I love the look on Tayli's face when the camera went back to her, you could tell she was ready to keep playing. No anxiousness, just pure determination to play and win.

Thank God that was not a turning point in the match. Kind of similar, and also didn't affect the outcome, but I think it's stupid that the refs can stop play for an injured player, even when the injury is not the result of interference by a player on the opposing team, and the injured player does not even have to come out, nor is the injured player's team charged with a timeout; they just replay the point. This encourages players to fake injuries when they have to send over a free ball. At the very least, the injured player's coach should have to choose between: subbing the injured player out for at least one point; being charged with a timeout; having the point awarded to the opposing team. But congrats, Wahine, on the win! Good luck vs Washington! And congrats, Mississippi State on your first tournament appearance!
