Wasn’t the UK Creighton match at 5am? Lol It seems like it. I think the Illinois/Creighton match was- maybe 11AM central on a Friday? One of those tourney games was. I think it was 10am CT (11am ET) on a saturday. Kentucky hasn't won a natty in a year they've faced a KBB team... KBB's power 😌

Ahhh it’s the FIGHTING Illini. Great win. UK had no answer for the heat UI was sending. UI floor defense was crazy good, didn’t see that in any B10 matches I watched. UK struggled with the bigger team. UK passing was meh, Stumler really looked like she was struggling.UI server how they needed to. Welcome to Austin UI. Illinois has always played well in Austin !!! Hope Texans embrace the Illini...well embrace from a social distance. There will be no social distancing in Gregory if the Illini and Texas make it the the regional finals . lol They looked scary good today. I’ll be rooting for them in the regional semi-final.

You're not trying to "take anything away from them" but just made a post about how sad it is to lose to a team that you think won't sustain that level. Like girl what? Give it a rest and stop implying that this is a fluke. they are likely going to play a team they have already been swept by twice and when Illinois played Nebraska in Lincoln Illinois couldn’t hit a ball in the court to save their lives. They are a very talented team but they played way above their average today. I’m rooting for them to go far as I’ve been to multiple Illinois games this year and am a fan of the program I have to agree with you. You stated facts. This season ILL has been incredibly error prone. Today we played at level we havent seen all season. I hope we can keep it for the NEBRASKA/FSU match. Maybe this was the signature win we needed to believe in oursleves! I -L - L

Wow! I wasn’t expecting this result. Big ups to Illinois for completing the upset.

I think what makes me the most upset is that I feel like Illinois is gonna revert back to their error prone ways next match vs Nebraska…. They were fantastic today but I don’t think they will sustain it. Sucks when you get beat by a team that has a high ceiling and Low floor NO used being upset in advance, but it is very common for that to happen with teams coming off a big upset. Plus, Nebraska is familiar with Illinois, which I would think would work against Illinois. Nebraska seems to match up well with Illinois. However, it is hard to beat a team 3 times in a season (unless it's Wisconsin playing Nebraska). If the Big Red can beat Florida State tonight (and that certainly is not a foregone conclusion), I'll be very afraid of this Illinois team.

Congrats to the Illini! Just like Kansas, you played your best volleyball of this season this weekend.

Don't recall Illinois ever returning to Austin after that.

To be fair, Illinois was without DeBruler in the 2010 tournament.

To be fair, Illinois was without DeBruler in the 2010 tournament. For sure. Texas had a lot of injuries all season long in 2010; got healthier for the post-season.

I was there tonight and I haven’t seen Kentucky play that badly all year, specifically in the last two sets. Stumler and beavin couldn’t pass a ball to save their lives and neither could anyone else. So sad UK didn’t play to their ability but Illinois played very well
