It makes for exciting Volleyball?
Any excuse used to show Lexi Rodriguez highlight.
One of my all-time favorite track-down plays that benefited from having some extra space was this beaut which I'd bet Nebraska fans remember: (#4 on the countdown) Maloney’s foot speed and ability to run down a ball…literally second to none. She was amazing. Miss her a lot but couldn’t be happier that we have a great freshman Libero already following in her footsteps.

one of the most iconic volleyball plays ever was because they had room to run down a ball And because they were a duo sport athlete, i.e., volleyball and soccer

I’m guessing Nebraska will have more fans in Gregory and that will help them, how many Texas fans stay and root for Illinois could help even it out. I will probably stay but my wife will bail after the Texas match.

So at least there will be some Orange & Blue in the crowd.

If Texas wins I think there will be a sizable (at least early) Texas crowd that stays and roots for Illinois (just a guess based on the Texas - Nebraska rivalry) if Texas loses it there will be tons of empty seats.

Nebraska and Illinois fans making the trip will feel the mild Texas winter. Thursday high 81, low 61 Friday high 86, low 64 Saturday high 66, low 41. Pack your parka, water freezes in Texas at 50.

I know different sport but my BBall knowledge goes much further than VBall. Villanova beat Georgetown for the NC in 85, Kansas beat OU in 88 for the NC both after losing twice in conference. For a B1G basketball example, 1989 Flyin' Illini lost to Michigan in the final four after beating them both times in conference.

What would the adjustment be? Maybe what I meant is players just deal with it since effects teams equally as far as available space. Not sure I’ve ever heard a team losing in Gregory and saying if we only had 50 more feet we could have won the match. You lost for other reasons. Maybe. Query whether the set up @ the Greg inherently emphasizes offense vs. defense though. Maybe it makes a difference in a tight game? 2-3 points where you could have chased down the ball if you had another 10-15 feet

Not having the same footprint means we might miss a spectacular highlight...maybe two at most...in the match. That's about all.

Wow it's so crazy how Lexi grew a mustache to go back to Texas incognito.

1. Can Nebraska beat Illinois for a third time in a season? 2. Will Batenhorst be continually blocked or we she be replaced by Sun? 3. Will Hames' sets be off? 5. Will Hames ignore middle?
If Nebraska can get these managed, we definitely can beat the Illini and Texas.
