Those otec serves were not down 14-10 serves. Absolutely went for it! Seriously huge shoutout to Otec. It ain’t easy to serve BOMBS knowing that any missed serve costs your team their season. BIG TIME NRG. |

Not so much a choke honestly nerves of steel and Otec was placing that ball with intent so good. You could tell Olmstead was pissed looked like Dave wanted to exchange some convo and she walked away quickly What are you talking about? It was a COMPLETE choke. Not only did BYU have three chances to win while receiving a standard float serve, but they also had a free ball on their first match point that was shanked by their libero. The other team is allowed to do good things, dude. |

Saying it was a choke is minimizing how good of serving was of Otec how well Newton swung as the only option on a bad pass and then being set by Bush. Yes BYU had opportunities but Purdue played better to close. The freeball was a giveaway yes but that point alone didn’t decide the set and they had other other chances after. |

Haven’t looked at stats but Kirber had a pretty amazing match. Not just kills and blocks what you’d expect, but how about that dig on the hard setter dump and then scurried to her feet to bump it over. And her off blocker defense was excellent. Those digs go unnoticed because they aren’t on hard hits, but she picked up so many shots from off blocker position both left and right sides. Then there was her service scoring. Great match.

Since our back row isn’t LDS, I’d imagine they will find a bar. Loss is on them. You have to sign the honor whatever code thingy to go to BYU, regardless. Otherwise, you don't get to go to Kolob ... or something.

Purdue continues to redefine "backs against the wall". I pity any Purdue volleyball fans with sensitive tickers... they're all going to be dead if they aren't already! I for one have developed an ulcer this season, so thanks Purdue! |
