NKYVC got a huge win over Dynasty in 16s. A little Triple Crown championship rematch. And a win over OTVA. That’ll be a bid for 16-1 Tsunami.

A little look at what NKYVC 16-1 can do when they’re mostly healthy. They didn’t have either OH (Skidmore or Barrett) when they played Dynasty in KC. Any idea if Dynasty was 100% heathy this morning?

So here’s the bid shakeout as I chill at the champ matches at Show Me:
15s: Championship match between Nebraska ONE and Dynasty, both of which already had bids. Nebraska Elite 15 Matrix gets a bid for second in pool.
Other second-place pool finisher, Circle City 15 Purple, already had a bid. So, other two bids go to third-place pool finishers Northern Lights 15-1 and HPSTL 15 Royal without a fifth-place match.
16s: NKYVC and Circle City in the championship, and neither had a bid. One for each.
Both of the second-place pool finishers, Premier Nebraska and Dynasty, already had bids.
Down to thirds. KC Power has a bid from MEQ. Third bid goes to other third-place pool team, OT 16 O Roberto, without an if-necessary match.
17s: Premier Nebraska 17 Gold and Minnesota Select 17-1 in finals. 17 Gold already had a bid, MN Select did not. One for Select.
Among second-place pool finishers, Rockwood Thunder picks up a bid while MAVS KC already had one.
The final bid is currently up for grabs in a fifth-place match between third-place pool finishers Mintonette and Iowa Rockets.
I wrote this for myself so I can take a nap later and not go through all this again and again in my head.

Pretty impressive showing by Premier Nebraska in 17 Open. They didn't drop a set all tournament.
Also congrats to MN Select 17-1. They had a lot of really nice wins and didn't drop a match until the finals against Premier.

Yeah, Select sticks out. The talent was always there, but they’ve grown a lot since NLQ, where things didn’t turn out as well as they were hoping. Select looked great this weekend.

They've been playing some really strong volleyball this past month or so. Their trajectory is definitely headed in the right direction.

Probable Top Seeds for the 18s Junior National Championships based on AES current Rankings. We will know in a couple days if USAV sees it the same way.
1 A5 2 Sunshine LA (Should be #1 in my opinion) 3 Houston Skyline 4 Coast 5 Mad Frog 6 OT Chad 7 Metro 8 Rockwood 9 Skyline Royal 10 SAS 11 Circle City (at-large?) 12 AZ Storm

Here are the teams still in the running for a bid in 17 Open at the 3 qualifiers this weekend.
Lone Star: KC Power 17-1, Houston Skyline 17 Royal, and Club V 17 Ren Matthew all automatically clinched bids. The other 5 teams in gold pools are already qualified. Those 3 are all in the same pool but they already have a bid anyway.
Big South: CHAVC 17 Black, Top Select 17 Elite, No Name 17 Doug, CUVC 17 Premier, and MiElite 17 Mizuno are all in the running.
Windy City: Sunshine 17 LA, AVC CLE 17 Rox Red, HJV 17 Elite, UPVBC 17 Open, and Rev 17-1 Raptors are fighting for bids tomorrow.

If you have BallerTV, tune in tomorrow for Lone Star😳
Based off of scores from AES so far, it’s been a bloodbath in 17 Open. Gold pools continue in the morning with first from each pool going to championship. TAV, Madfrog, Club V Matthew, and AJV already dropped a match. Should be an extremely exciting day tomorrow…
