what? Purdue gets picked to win and more respect over SO many teams because they are from the big ten. Pitt gets WAY more doubt bc they arent a big ten team Pitt gets the doubt because they have a history of failing once they get to the tournament. Purdue teams have rarely if ever been hyped to make it all the way the same way. idk how many times I’m gonna have to say that it’s ridiculous to hold the 2018 tournament Finish against them. Lund was injured in the first round and they had to play in the second round without their best passer, attacker, and had to do this without any real time to get used to a new line up or practice viable solutions and still took a good Michigan team to 5 sets. They win that match with Lund I guarantee it

I'd love to see Nebraska secure that sixth title, but if they can't, I'm pulling for Purdue to bring it home. And if Louisville and Dani Busboom Kelly can make history with an undefeated season, that won't break my heart either. This should be an interesting day!

Pitt was a set away last year from advancing, Purdue lost to Kentucky here...glad both have a chance at redemption, two programs that deserve a lot of respect and it could be set that window for championship may be closing after this season (or at least the big pieces will look different)
Pitt is slightly more complete - Fairbanks is the wild card -- if she can hold her own blocking Purdue's left pin (doesn't have to be great, just not be a liability) and can add 3-4 kills to keep the big Purdue blockers honest, I think Pitt wins -- they pass better and their other 5 hitters can be automatic in system
Whichever team comes out on top, I will be rooting for in Columbus

Purdue is one of the weirdest teams. It's like they don't realize they can be a great team until they're forced to. Spot on, in my opinion. That last conference match was so weird—much of the time it looked like they were sleepwalking against the Huskers. And the top B1G teams totally blew up the transitive property this season. Nebraska 2-0 against Purdue, Boilers 2-0 versus Wisconsin, Badgers 2-0 over the Huskers. And similar if you pull in PSU and anOSU.

Though I would say if Purdue ends up facing Louisville I’ll prolly have to root for the fighting DBKs.

Coach K would really like two ✌️ things from this match: a Purdue win so HC Dave Shodell gets a FF 👏 and former CK club player Leketor Member MEN-eh’s name pronounced 🎤 correctly 😳….. OK, probably only the first thing is possible 😢
