In the hopes that my friends and I can get good seats for the game, what time should we get to the field house? I know doors open one hour before first serve but am wondering the lengths UW fans will go/how early they will be arriving prior to that. Point U! If I were going this year, I would be there a minimum of 3 hours before the doors open (regulars season) but more likely 4+ for the tourney. But I have not been to a game in 3 years since my kid's HS season started interfering with badger games. Sarcasm? Seriously, 20 minutes. 30 minutes tops!

Section HH and GG...that's the normal side near the Gopher bench. So if you come in the gate on the statue/stadium side and not the parking lot side it will be on your right. Students are on the end, nearby, so don't go on the ends. We were sitting in Section FF last night, and it was right behind the Gopher bench--was that because it was the "home" bench, and the Badgers have that honor tomorrow night? Right. I might have my section letters wrong. You want to be behind the Baylor side, but the first 20 rows are reserved.

The question was when people needed to be there for good seats. They don't need to be there 3 hours ahead of time for good seats. If they want to chat with others, they can, but let's not misled people into that line of thinking.

And I think only the "double letter" sections are General Admission--from what I remember about the regional ticket sale website, the first two sections as you move back from the court (courtside and first balcony) are reserved, and the rest are GA. But if that's not the case, i hope someone can clarify!

Correct. Double letters! Sometimes hard to tell where that starts though.

I was in line at 1:00pm in 2016 for the Stanford game which I think started at 7:00pm. Snow started right about the time I got in line and before the doors opened, we picked up 4" of snow. Sheff came out to give out popcorn at about 2:30, we got to cheer the players as they trickled in. Wouldn't give up those memories for anybody elses comfort level.

I wondered why Baylor - the higher seed - was not using the home bench, near section E. I don't recall another NCAA match where the higher seed was not using that bench. The only thing I could think was Baylor was on the bench they used last night back in August and they understood that had they been playing on Saturday, they'd be on that bench, so as the higher seed they had their choice of which bench to use, and they chose the one by section G. Yes, tomorrow Wisconsin will be on the regular section E home bench, and Minnesota will be on the regular visitor section G bench.

As a Gopher fan, my heart says pick MN. It's tough for a team to beat another team 3 times. It's also tough for a team to get to the final 4 three straight years. And the scappy Gophs have this karma going on as well as the best player in college volleyball (if she's healthy). But my head says that Wisc is a better team and has a big home court advantage along with a favorable match-up of personnel. I didn't care for how MN played most of the Baylor match and while I think they'll clean some of this up it may not be enough against Bucky. So I'm going to reluctantly say Wisc in a sweep. Lordy I hope I'm wrong.

And as a faithful Gopher fan who has never been to a match at the Field House before, I really enjoyed being there for the WI match last night (although I have to say I enjoyed the Gopher win a bit more!😊). What a great fan base and atmosphere--it was quite fun! However, I don't think I will be appreciating your fans' enthusiasm as much tomorrow night! 😉 We'll definitely be out-numbered and will have to cheer even louder!

Correct. Double letters! Sometimes hard to tell where that starts though. Double letters are all the upper deck. Anything not in the upper balcony is 'single letter'. The 'single letter' sections that are officially 'general admission' are ones more-or-less 'above' the four entryways - C, I and J, M and N and O, U and V. The 'end zones' - A and B, and K and L - are supposedly reserved for 'students'. And in the case of K and L (and really M) thet are actually for UW students, though there is nobody 'enforcing' that (maybe the students themselves ). A and B will essentially be general admission tomorrow (with the first 20? rows of B reserved for the UW band.)

Lordy I hope I'm wrong. The same old logical fallacy appears once more. Wisconsin doesn't have to beat the Gophers "three times"; they only have to beat them once more. Two-thirds of what "makes it tough to beat a team three times" is already done. Likewise, Wisconsin only has to make the FF one more time. The first two times are already done, AND three-fourths of the work involved this year is already done. They have to win one more match. That's all.
