I hate both teams and wish both had already been eliminated Even though I am a fan of MN this made me laugh. Honest. Made me laugh, too. I just wish once something would go his way! |

Samedy should be playing for Florida? Shaffmaster at Purdue? Wenaas at Texas? Florida and Texas are not at all comparable, since they aren’t at all in the same conference and mostly wouldn’t compete against Minnesota. Somewhat comparable for Indiana/Purdue, since it is the same conf. But to go to the nextdoor, arch-rival of your home state?? Awful. So much disrespect for the state that produced her and made her what she is. Like I said, don’t care if they beat the Gophers, as long as they don’t get the natty. 0 and 3, is what they deserve. |

Maybe she didn't want to play behind Minnesota's greatest setter of all time SSS. If you could start four years instead of two, wouldn't you?
States are not countries and she didn't defect or anything. It doesn't affect your life one way or other.

players want different things from different schools and will go where they feel that they can be most successful

This is ridiculous and you're out of control. Athletes have ZERO responsibility to remain in the states that "produced" them. They were children during their volleyball development. They didn't get to choose where they were raised. Particularly for high-level performers, they have their lives after college to think about as well, and if that includes volleyball at the next level, some colleges in their respective home states are just not going to cut it. |

Imagine if those 3 players stayed in their home states to play? Just at first glance, I personally don’t see how that would’ve worked for them or those in-state programs. Yessss!!!!!!! Hilley too!!!! She could’ve been a three year starter for the Gophers, if she wasn’t a disloyal carpetbagger. As long as she and Barnes go 0 for 3 on natty’s, karma has been served. I love how everyone collectively ignored this comment(I know I know I’m doing the opposite lol). Was going to be cheering on the Gophers but this comment makes me really want to see Barnes and Hilley succeed and maybe win? because they are both useless so no need to respond to them. However, not against coming back later on tonight to revisit this |

I hope everyone enjoys the match! So much talent on both sides. Badgers have the edge and many enthusiastic fans in their corner, but hopefully the Gophers and their traveling fans can make some noise in the Field House too.
I think it’s pretty wholesome that the Gopher parents are getting together beforehand to watch the first two matches. I like imagining them sharing a special bond similar to the one that seems apparent on this Gopher squad. Just a bunch of besties loving volleyball together and supporting each other through it. 🥰
Go Gophers and go Barnes and Hilley!
