I said a couple weeks ago that Wisconsin could win the national championship (one to go) and somebody here would still say "yeah, but Maryland..." So, I hope to see you here on Saturday! LOL I'll be here. I don't know what you're thinking, but it's not meant to be a shot at Wisconsin, nor Louisville with the ASU result. Just kind of crazy to those results that would happen by watching both of those teams tonight. The badgers had just lost their starting middle and were playing people all over the place.

It was waiting for the bracket to be announced, I think, and somebody was "how can WI be a top 4 seed with a loss to Maryland?", like one bad night can negate a whole season. I think it's funny as much as anything.

Wisconsin is losing a lot more then Louisville will be losing when this year ends. We will be hearing a lot more about Louisville next year, then we will when it comes to Wisconsin. Hilley and Rettke can never be replaced; Barnes proving her AA accolades; Civita calm and collected; Loberg came alive when needed. That said, Smrek, Orzol, Robinson, and Demps returning. Saw glimpses of greatness from Jardine and incoming Wrobel is lethal. Hammill and Ashburn are both great setters. Most importantly, Danielle Hart will be back, hopefully healthy. Wisconsin just needs some help in the backcourt (ahem, portal). Oh yeah, +1! Many on VT doubting ‘22 Badgers to compete in this tournament. I see a big upside. First, we still need to get this natty!

20 Kills on .704 that's actually INSANE It is. Her second best offensive match of the season was against Nebraska in Lincoln. You're right...she just played out of her mind today. With her 6'9" height (she'll probably grow even more in the next 3 years!), today might be her launchpad to becoming Wisky's focal point next year.

I think it's funny as much as anything. I totally think really-bad losses should always be forgiven or taken with a grain of salt when there is overwhelming evidence to negate that. Funky things happen. That year where Baylor beat #1 Wisconsin and lost to UTRGV the very next match is one example.

Louisville losing Stevenson and Dilfer (both grads) and Chaussee...leaving DeBeer and who else? Jones and Tillman? hmmm Wisconson losing Rettke (finally), Hilley and Barnes (all grads), maybe Loberg (senior)...but guessing Smrek will be the focus Loberg is also a grad student. and pretty sure i read that Chaussee would be returning next year Their website has Loberg as a senior with only 4 years of play, so maybe(?) she could come back next year.

Nah, she’s done after this year. In Hilley and Rettke’s class and played all 5 years, came alive vs. Stanford her freshman year.

What. A. Match. Hats off to Louisville for an amazing effort and match. And all class at the end; just an admirable program all around.

Louisville needs Stevenson to score and I don't think she's seen a block that is anything like Rettke and co. And how many matches this year has Louisville played where Dilfer wasn't the best setter on the court? Louisville may be the better team in an absolute sense but I don't love this matchup for them. I think Wisconsin's schedule overall had a little more bite to it and they will be able to dig a little deeper. Wisconsin in 5, or maybe a tight 4. Stevenson hit .500 and I didn’t mention Smrek or Barnes but still, I feel pretty good about this prediction.

throw in Texas 2020 and 2021 lol The thing with Texas is I feel like they've historically been a good team that does so well in the seasons, then just fall apart once they get deep into the tournament. I do agree somewhat though because I don't think Texas should've lost to Kentucky in 2021... Slightly disagree. Maybe on paper, but Yrxas played well Kentucky just played better and earned it. Not like Texas self destruction so many times before.
