I saw maybe 2 or 3 plays where Nebraska went over the block, so not as much as I thought.

Texas Fan here. Should cook win Coach of the year? I think so. He made tough decisions early on to start younger/newer players. The tough B1G schedule seemed to have developed those players to the point they are today. congrats Nebraska.

Coach Cook did have a tough set of problems to manage. However, I lean for Coach of the Year to DBK, Dan Fisher, or one of the Mississippi schools.

They don’t have an arm like Foecke on this team.

you got half of it right...the 2nd part Nebraska wins and Lexi Sun played her part as a awesome team mate. One more win and Lexi gets her National Championship. It all comea down to one match, and Lexi has worked hard for what could transpire tomorrow.

I think cook would be happier to hoist the trophy—he preaches team first

RE: the Cook COY comments.
The problem is, Nebraska has more talent/athleticism on their team than anyone, maybe sans Stanford. I mean, hell, Lexi Sun was on the bench.
Nebraska, given their talent/athleticism, IMO, underperformed for most of the year. They started the preseason ranked 5 and slid all the way down to the teens before entering the tournament at 10 (which I think most thought was 1 or 2 spots too high). I think what we've seen in the tournament is Nebraska reaching their talent potential (obviously at the right time), but I'm not sure that provides support for Cook as COY.
Louisville and Pitt, on the other hand, didn't have the high profile players, but were excellent because of experience and coaching. DBK hands down deserved the award. I think what we might have saw in the Final Four was the raw talent on Nebraska and Wisconsin beating out the polish of Louisville and Pitt -- maybe not, maybe if those games were played 5 times Louisville and Pitt would come out on top, but at least re: Nebraska, I think to some extent they're in the final despite some questionable coaching this year (sans Cook's serving strategy, damn), not because of a COY-caliber coaching job.
