Right? Hames can be cracks at times but she plays hard OMG, she is a WARRIOR! And her defense is top drawer. Straight baller. What an extraordinary competitor.

Same. That was about as inspiring as it gets!
Just the thought of Stivrins career being finished after tomorrow makes me emotional 😂 Maybe we can NIL her another season? Is it just cash? Why can't we pay her to play again? This is an outrage!

Looking like during Foecke’s freshman year. I was thinking her senior year, after Kelly Hunter was gone and Nicklin was a freshman. Other than Foecke, the team had no real standouts and was not picked to go far. But they gelled into an incredibly cohesive group that fell just short in the NCAA final--losing 15-12 in set five to Stanford. I meant in a way when Foecke was freshman they were not in the top 4 seeds and they won the championship that year. This year, they were the in the same boat with the frosh stepping up again big time.

Pitt press conference has started Ndee, Lund, and coach Fisher (currently 12:13am central) Absolutely love it when the press are given the microphone to ask their questions. As complicated as the games have become, it's important to hear the questions. Class act. Greatly enjoy hearing the coaches comments. IMO volleyball coaches and players tend to be quite bright and articulate. Agree on all counts. Classy comments by coach. I wondered a bit about the player comments that Nebraska’s defense wasn’t that much of a factor—it was more about their offense not performing. Seems good defense can cause a drop in offensive confidence, but I’m not a player and have a pretty limited perspective. Regardless, congrats to Pitt, great team and great season.

I think they were voicing something very similar to what Cook always preaches, focus on what we do on our side of the net.

Texas Fan here. Should cook win Coach of the year? I think so. He made tough decisions early on to start younger/newer players. The tough B1G schedule seemed to have developed those players to the point they are today. congrats Nebraska. Nonsense. What DBK did was remarkable Post season coaching year? Sure. Cook got his team to the Finals in a year that I think (at the beginning) even you would've said they're a top 8 team at best. DBK did awesome but even she lost before Cook did. So I'd give him the nod.

Nebraska got hot the last 3 matches of the season, DBK took a team that wasn’t even preseason top 10 and had an undefeated season up until the semi finals where they lost a 5 set thriller to the eventual champions. DBK deserved coach of the year, almost anyone would agree that in august if you told people that Louisville would be 32-1 on the season is more surprising than Nebraska making it to the national championship
