Iβm actually crying so hard for Lund right now. The way she tried so hard to stay composed It is *such* a great sport, and these young women give it so much that it always sucks to see teams lose.

RE: the Cook COY comments. The problem is, Nebraska has more talent/athleticism on their team than anyone, maybe sans Stanford. I mean, hell, Lexi Sun was on the bench. Nebraska, given their talent/athleticism, IMO, underperformed for most of the year. They started the preseason ranked 5 and slid all the way down to the teens before entering the tournament at 10 (which I think most thought was 1 or 2 spots too high). I think what we've seen in the tournament is Nebraska reaching their talent potential (obviously at the right time), but I'm not sure that provides support for Cook as COY. Louisville and Pitt, on the other hand, didn't have the high profile players, but were excellent because of experience and coaching. DBK hands down deserved the award. I think what we might have saw in the Final Four was the raw talent on Nebraska and Wisconsin beating out the polish of Louisville and Pitt -- maybe not, maybe if those games were played 5 times Louisville and Pitt would come out on top, but at least re: Nebraska, I think to some extent they're in the final despite some questionable coaching this year (sans Cook's serving strategy, damn), not because of a COY-caliber coaching job. look at how Nebraska was in Oct and where they are now; the way the team has bonded in light of the adversity/poor performance earlier in the season (by Nebraska standards anyways); the way the team overcame 2 heavily favored opponent when it mattered. with the exception of Roddy, the freshmen for the most part did not perform to the level of their talent, which is entirely understandable. Nebraska is where it is right now due in no small part to its coaching. i think Cook did a masterful job coaching this year, probably one of his best. i'm not arguing for COY because i think DBK deserves it. To suggest that Nebraska's succeeding in spite of its coaching is absolutely absurd!

The Badgers will eat the Cornhuskers for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Huskers, remember you have not beaten the Badgers this season. Both matches were not even close, 3-0, and 3-1. It will be another 3-0 match. Wisconsin, national Champions!!!! boo, your program went from title contender to having a goal of making the tournament. We get your upset about that. Not our issue.. I am not worried about Wahine Volleyball, but Huskers should be quite concerned when they get spanked by the Badgers, who they have not beaten all season. Nebraska, need to remember, Wisconsin is not as small as Pittsburgh, they are a GIANT Team with a lot of veteran players. Impressed how Batenhorst was able to turn it around at the end of that set. Tough to do, especially for a freshman Being able to stick with it and work out of the poor performance was a sign of real growth, in my opinion.

This is over sadly. The Nebraska defense is just wearing pitt down And their passing is making everyone second guess their serve. Error or lollipop. Texas fell for the same thing. Too true. I really think the high rate of SEs by Husker opponents of late is forced in part by trying to keep up with the tough serving they're facing.

I LOVE that all the FF teams showed up. This is what you want, no matter who you're rooting for. Absolutely! And I think that sentiment's behind some Husker fans saying they don't care if Nebraska wins the next game. Of course they care, but it's just been such satisfying play, very competitive. Nobody getting swept off the floor.
