Coach Tamas introduced the Illinois Networkers group last night to our new assistant volleyball coach and recruiting coordinator Krista Vansant. Networkers president commented that it was the best attended Networkers meeting during her tenure. Welcome Krista!

Anyone have any insight into practice? Pics show Sophie on the court. Also Bruna working with Krista. Anyone spy Ellie? Who is going to March games?

Good to see from those recent photos that Sophie's practicing. Didn't notice Ellie in the recent practice photos or brief video but maybe only eight players were shown. I'm planning to go to each of the first two scrimmages so we're only ~five days from a lot of our questions being answered. I'll share notes. |

I'm going to try to get to Huff next Wednesday. Is it an open scrimmage or does one need a ticket? Will seats be reserved?

I went to their last intersquad home scrimmage (2019 vs. Purdue) which was free admission with unassigned seating. I haven't heard anything specific about this year, but I've just assumed it will be like that again. notpriddy (COIF) said he was at the recent Networkers event, so maybe he's got more definitive info. |

Just saw the WBB coach “retired.” Her salary was over $500,000??? I’m sorry what?  That team has been a BIG 10 bottom feeder and obviously a non revenue generating sport. Please tell me Coach Tamas is making more than that!! |

u Dawn Staley took that program to a National title ( im pretty sure) and top 5 ranking every year. Shes a WNBA pro, Olympic Gold Medalist and college star. That program has a huge fan base too. She deserves that kind of money |

Her stats were mostly Division III. I understand paying her more but I think coaches should get base + bonuses for performance. Her record was terrible. 9 Big Ten wins in her entire time. Glad to see Coach Tamas making a decent amount with the success the team has had. |
