Agreed if the setting is not solid - doesn’t matter what the others can do - fingers crossed

Niego is a good get....we were thin on the pins last year....she is solid and can cut down on subs. She will play 6 rotation...makes me wonder what DS gets the bench. Her and Shaff will be a lethal LS attack. This will also allow the freshman to fill big gaps on the RS. With the roster UNC has shaping up next year, we will be back in the hunt for the ACC potentially. Oh and we might not be done yet.... Please be Weatherington. Although we probably need a veteran setter to help in a transition year for freshmen setters. Setter is main target

Seeming like the staff is going to go with the 2 freshmen setters coming in.....also some visits coming up next weekend, a pin and a setter....couple minor moves on the roster is probably coming.
Also, seems like one of the freshmen middles may be getting in on more playing time...Swain's fellow classmates will be joining her upcoming weekend on a visit.
Ava Swain is already on campus and she looks solid. Already impressing.

Heels officially ink remaining 3 of 2022 class.... I agree with Sagula, after watching some more recent clips on Swift, I think she may be the better middle out of this class and has potential to make huge waves. I also think that Bostic has made a big jump in her setting and that her connection with Mabrey could be beneficial. For a while now, i have thought babic was the clear setter to run a 5-1 but I think Bostic could challenge that. This class will definitely motivate each other and the current athletes to play hard for their spot. goheels.com/news/2022/2/17/carolina-volleyball-adds-swift-bostic-and-may-to-2022-roster.aspx

Will the spring matches be streamed (at least the home ones)? I doubt it.....esp since our spring roster is very slim. Having to use Neelon and Parker-Robinson to fill some spots on the outside and for setting. What is difficult is we wont truly know what the fall team will look like until the freshman and Niego get on campus since they are going to carry a lot of weight from hitting to setting.

Assuming we didn’t land any of the transfers that visited earlier? So far we missed out on an opposite and a setter. One was pursued pretty strongly...the other the coaches seemed to be halfhearted about. I think they are using the spring season/practice to kind of get more of a feel for needs vs wants.

You seem to have a great in with the same coaches you have been so critical of past few years ......Anyways, it looks like the Heels will have 3 young (and good) setters at their disposal next Fall.

Oh I still have my concerns about the coaches, mainly an assistant, but I also am humble enough to give credit that last year was a step in the right direction. I think they can recruit the heck out of players, as does the UNC brand, but developing them has been a wait and see game.
