Yep those two loses hurt us. I hope we finish strong but we are so fragile anything is possible. I would just love to see more motivation from players.
Bubba may not know everything Susan was doing. Probably less than half. And with Joe’s old school feedback of “they are just weak” this went for far too long. If they are weak, he recruited them. Regardless the buck stops with him. I am tired of waiting for this sport, dear to me, to make needed changes and start being competitive.

Heels win 3-1! Our blocking really stepped up late in the third. Finished with double digit blocks and double digit aces. Serving was huge for us today, too.
Niego was sick so Parker was the O2. I don’t feel like we really missed her. We went to setting middles in front of the setter and they started crushing it.
Still have trouble blocking any attacks from the RS. Going to have to figure that out this off-season.

Gracie Johnson is for real. A great player similar to Chasse.
Middle was working today. We didn’t run slide much but we sure did force it in the middle. Parker also played pretty well instead of Niego I thought.
Mogridge was up on 1s a lot and got set a lot. She had a great day. I thought Babic ran it pretty good and had a good overall game with blocks and digs and some kills. She really could be an elite setter if we can sort out the lineup and passing. She does need to clear up the errors and have more consistency for the slide and outside though.
Glad to see connections in the middle develop. That left the left side either one on one or a split. Parker scored well in the split.
Passing was up and down. When we passed well we could run anything. We still struggle on the RS but I hope with an athletic lefty coming in that changes.
It bugs me that we can’t play like this every match but that will hopefully be resolved soon. Unfortunately we will likely lose some good players because of the way we do things.

Tough to think at best we’ll tie NC State in the standings to end the season… but we need to beat UVA and they need to lose to Syracuse for that to happen. Looking more likely NC State will finish ahead of us in the final standings this year.

Last day of the season. Let’s hope to end it with a dub for our seniors!
At best we finish tied for 6th with State (need a W and State loss to Syracuse). If we lose, we tie for 7th with Wake and also Syracuse if they beat State. Technically we could also tie BC at 8-10 if we lose but they’d have to beat Pitt today.
Disappointing season but hope to finish on a high note.

Heels sweep and all seniors got some time!
We finish alone in 7th in the ACC with a 9-9 record. NC State finished sixth at 10-8 and Wake finished just under us in 8th with an 8-10 record.

Learned during the broadcast that Niki K. is transferring. She asked the coaching staff at the beginning of the season to redshirt her this year so she could use her grad year elsewhere.
