I was actually shocked when I read the teams. Roddy on first team?? She’s great but no. Monserez and grome as 2nd teamers? Very surprising. Baird makes second team and Kipp doesn’t make a team? Idk weird list year. Also, I haven’t looked at the #s so correct me if I’m wrong, but has butler actually had a first team AA caliber season? Kipp is on the 2nd team. |

Congrats to this year’s class of All-Americans. Some great choices and some head scratchers. Love seeing Roddy on the 1st team but there are also other libs who could’ve been there too. Roddy is just an awesome, awesome player! I'm just excited they had at least one from each team. (vs. other years they've had one libero across all 3 teams) This was probably the best/most deep libero year ever. Across the board, yes. 2018 had some stellar liberos with Maloney, hentz, white, and lake. |

Hard to see a libero like Otec on HM because I generally like her but to me personally they got the teams wrong. FIFY!  |

My eyes completely skipped over that, thank you lol You’re welcome. In reference to Butler, I think from a hitting percentage point she had a 1st team season. Her block average was good but her overall production wasn’t as robust as some other middles. Hard to deny that she has been a major presence for Texas though. I think it’s a combo of her being a great middle, Texas being a threat every year and name recognition. |

I agree. Hard to see a libero like Otec on HM because I generally like her but to me personally they got the teams wrong. FIFY! 😂😂 Aw I’m so sorry Otec Only. I know it’s tough when your favorite player doesn’t get the recognition they deserve. She was great for the past few years. |

Matthews was robbed. Her numbers, albeit in a weaker conference, outclass everyone.
She would start on every single team in the nation (yes every single one, even Texas, Nebraska etc).
Should of at least been second team, if not first.
I’m tired of these big players from big name schools making teams, solely based on the team they play on. It’s absolutely ridiculous

So for NFOY I guess that means Roddy and grome are the front runners? Still shocked by both of their placements on the AA team. Both of them imo are the best at their position for all freshman, but neither should’ve been that high on the list

Grome stepped into the shoes of the reigning national player of the year and did a great job. Kentucky’s early exit isn’t just on her shoulders and shouldn’t be. Nebraska without Roddy wouldn’t be in the final four. She has transformed this team into a national title contender once again and for a libero…well you just don’t see that too often. |

One 2nd Teamer and three Honorable Mentions?? Really?! I agree. An Elite 8 finish, a strong conference run in the country’s best conference. Great team resume and finishing point if that’s really what the committee takes into account. |
